They're $2.46 a pair? You comparing these to like mechanix gloves?

Fuck yeah!

Once you get the Mechanix type gloves wet they suck, and these have much better feel to them. I get a week or two out of the Mechanix gloves before they are totally shot, I get 4-5 days out of pair of these give or take...and they are way more cool and comfortable to work in...you can still have very good dexterity...and they keep your hands drier.

I took them home when I didn't have any other gloves to do a build, and now I can't stand wearing the mechanix gloves unless I have to carry something with really sharp edges/abrasive.

Ron, you are a smart man. I picked up a pair similar to these at Lowes to try when I was taking my car down a bit ago. They are garden gloves there, but still next to the mechanix gloves. I think they are way better than mechanix gloves!!

On a side not I hate those nitrile gloves, I wear them at work every 30 seconds and they are too cheap and thin to offer any protection from abrasives. Bodily fluids maybe, car parts not so much.

You know, I just use them at work, because with the liquid buffing compounds we use at there. They let you grip on greasy parts, but since half the thing is coated it never really gets on your hands. You wipe 'em off with a rag and grease comes off easy. Nothing sucks more than cleaning out the clothes washer after throwing dirty gloves in there!

Anyway, I just did a decent size car project, and was thrashing late one night. One pair of gloves all night...hands stayed clean. Until I started this recent job, my hands were getting trashed fast from all the pumice scrubs after getting dirty. Even after cleaning them, they were getting so stained they always looked dirty. Since I started wearing them, I rarely even have to nail brush the crud out...and before someone thinks I want manicured hands, it's really because I have young kids...so trying to set a good example.

Haha, threw my mechanix in the washer once...indeed a big mistake. You really do get wayyyyyy more grip after a bit of grease gets on these too. I really think they are more resiliant than the mechanix too. The finger tips of my mechanix always fray and wear down b/c I tend to hand tighten a lot of bolts.

I agree with not even needing to scrub the shit out of your hands after using these gloves. Offer much more protection
