GROUPON: Autobahn Country Club

Today there is a Groupon for a $239 Intro Class with Formula Drivetech ($499 value) or a $49 Ride-Along ($99 value) at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet.

The Intro Class includes classroom instruction and then puts you behind the wheel of your choice of a Porsche Boxter, Corvette, or... Formula car (I'm guessing Skip-Barber/Formula Mazda esque). Says it's 'at least 15 minutes of racing,' so not a whole lot of time, but would be pretty cool. Figured I'd post up here in case anyone was interested.

Oh yeah? Tell him to to learn how to tighten bolts. They dropped their whole exhaust 10 ft. in front of me as I was entering turn 12.

I went to this today. It was a lot of fun, especially considering that the only car I have is a 10-year-old Buick. They had some issues with the cars breaking down that backed up the schedule a bit, but I still had fun.
