 old people love those pt cruisers. I saw a flat black one with Lakewood side pipes and dog dish hubcaps in a handicap spot the other day at meijer.

it was the worst! The conversation would inevitably segway into their life story. All I wanted to do was load my dead hooker in the back and be on my way, but no, these old guys always wanted to talk me ear off.

I just thought about it and I can't remember the last time anyone ever asked how much I paid for either the truck or the IROC. I usually get the question, "How fast is it" and always get the statement, "That's clean!". I do get, "Who did the work?" for the truck alot; it was me with a Kurgan tune. Perhaps they figure "cost" is skewed given that I built it myself...who knows....and who really cares.

I've gotten "Wait...YOU put a Corvette motor in a Trailblazer?!?!" and "Is that the turbo inline 5 cylinder?" To which my response is "Yep and they're REALLY rare, I'll sell you this one for $50,000"

My favorite is still the "WTF is in that thing?!?!?!" When I just blasted from one light and got stuck at the next one..........My response "Turbo diesel!"

Not really on topic but the one question I get the most is "Does your license plate say SMARTASS?" Me "Nope, it's an intelligence test and you just failed"

I hate when the old guys go "I used to have this 65 Duster with a blablabla.........yea had to sell it when the kids came along"..............but now I drive a minivan and I pull my underware up past my belt line so everyone can see that my t-shirt is tucked inside them......

I just smile and politely listen out of respect and try to think of a nice way to get away from him.
