So I had these on my GTP for less than a year. F-Body in the front, stock in the back. Hawk HPS pads all around. Right now it feels like my rotors are warped already, is this possible? Can these be cut or warrantied? When I bought them they were dirty cheap with commercial discount, I probably should have went with more expensive rotors.

I have Vatozone rotors and pads, I take em back once a year for a fresh set. Warranty is good for something, plus they are just stupid over at the zone and never ask anything they just go get the new parts. LOL :picard: But I just picked up some Centric rotors and hawk red stuff pads to go with my C5 brake set up, so no more Vatozone crap for me.

So autozone will pay for the labor of these being swapped out?

Is using old pads on new rotors bad? Don't feel like paying $150+ on pads again.

If its a commercial account, and the shop installs them. Customer needs a new set because they failed under warranty. Shop eats labor... Autozone pays the shop part or full labor.

And ive had good luck with Duralast Gold and Cmax pads... my Camry has Gold and my SHO has Cmax... they work great.

Did you properly break in the pads on the rotor? My guess is they aren't warped and instead have uneven distribution of brake material on the rotor.

I have been running Brembo blanks on my maxima now for 8 years and only had to change them at about 45-50k miles. Using porterfield brake pads which are performance pads and never had any vibration etc. Broken in my familys cars with cheaper rotors and pads the same way without any uneven deposits or having to cut a disc at a later time.

Great article from stoptech on the subject.

They are garbage. I bought a set and they warped within a year. I brought them back and they warrantied them but again they warped. I brought them back and they wouldn't exchange them. I guess "lifetim warranty" means only on the original purchase. So they will only warranty them once. That's how they keep you coming in and buying another set. The crazy thing is that I always am careful not to spray them with water when they are hot and I always lift the brake going over bumps, potholes and train tracks and they still end up warping.
