Well, in theory yes. But according to Wes @ Precision its WAY under sized for my motor. He says it probably looks oil starved because I was over spinning the thing.

It will be worth it though. You just need to remember that. Well how much more would it be to purchase a new one???? Maybe a little extra for a larger fresh guy could be in order.

I'm basically looking only at new larger turbos now at this point.

My S400 80mm new cost me $800. Precision is not cheap. Good stuff, but not cheap.

Not really though. Those are all things resolved with a simple rebuild kit that replaces seals.

what seals? do you have a cutaway that can explain? Seriously i am curious to see what seal failed. I deal with diesel turbo chargers a lot and i know it takes a lot to get the turbo to puke oil out of the turbine side.

I do not have a exploded diagram... All I know is that seals are pretty common maintenance items.

good news is it's time for an upgrade

At least you don't have to pay for two of them getting rebuilt. About to drop about 700 bucks on 2 new CHRA's as I found out from the previous owner that my stockers were at 140k miles. Right one puffs a bit of smoke as I found out during a cruise.

Will probably makes things a bit crazier if your turbo is really that out of spec for your motor.
