Well I wasn't comparing what your trying to do to the TT build. I mean it was a 5k TT kit + the other mods it had.

I haven't looked into a build your doin so I'm not sure price wise if you were to buy a GTO and make it let say a low 11sec to 10sec car. Which honestly is not hard. The large portion of money is tied up in buying a GTO. After that the formula is easy; drag bags, tire, clutch, cam, spray, and tune. You could do a few minor mods to help but those things can you 10's in a GTO.

The truck idea is cool. I've always wanted to do one. Just have Brandon tune it and it'll run smooth, lol.

i know what ur saying but for less than half the price of the gto alone the truck would be movin pretty good

Do yourself a HUGE favor. buy the victor intake and a MSD 6010 box. The edelbrock one is non programmable. It rely's on timing chips....and the timing chips are WAY to high of timing for an LS based motor. I just went through this. The MSD 6010 is nice. You can plot timing maps and run a map sensor to plot advance curves or pull timing for nitrous and turbo's. Plus is has a nice 2 step built in. It literally took me 15 minutes to hook up and fire the motor. Its actually cheaper buying them separately.....ask me how I know...Lol.

BTW...the 6010 box is for 24 tooth reluctor
The 6012 box is for 58.

how hard is it to wire the computer stuff from the newer truck into the older, I have a standard cab 95' with a 5speed that I have been wanting to do this swap on since I bought it but dont want to go with a carb set up since I use the truck to pull my boat and I dont know much about the pcm wireing for either truck

Its easier to just swap the harness.
