Any suggestions? I THINK I understand the coolant flow etc, so I'm trying to figure out any cons to capping the 'return' from the heater core on the water pump, and then capping the 'feed' on the intake manifold to the heater core..... and more importantly HOW can/should I go about capping the return as the 'feed' I will just cap with a temp switch for my Efan.

I really don't want to do this if it will create any 'hot spots' but I'm not sure how it would/could.... Mainly the truck currently has no climate control so its pointless IMO to have hot coolant flowing where it doesn't need to be.

orrr just leave it alone if it isnt leaking and dont spend money to remove something unnecessary.

The rail is just kinda 'in the way' and it loops basically at the firewall currently. all the hoses are throw-away cause they are origional so I'm replacing the hoses anyways, and figure I could do something cleaner if possible.

I CAN do that, but it'd still be an 'extra' hose with hot coolant chilling in my engine bay, that and I'd need to find a 'nipple' with the right thread to replace the rail off the intake manifold (any ideas where to shop for that kinda stuff?)
i have a 3/4inch npt tap but you could just as easily weld that unit shut and leave it on the intake or take it to a machine shop and have em thread a pice of barstock with that thread to plug it.

on a 5.0 there would be no harm in blocking the heater core feed/return off

Your windows are gonna fog up like crazy and it's gonna suck.....trust me. I'd never get rid of some sort of defrost/heat in a car that'll see any street time; even if it only sees good weather.

there are penty of different 12v heaters out there for less than 60$, that you can rig into the hvac box to still let you use the vent doors but still delete all the big crap.

How would I cap the nipple on the pump for the return feed? I figured/hoped i could install a fanswitch where the rail comes off the manifold... No idea about the pump :-(
