about a week ago, FBI conducted nation-wide raids on groups of 'hackers' who launched a DDoS attack on websites of major corporations..this is all pertaining to the Julian Assange/Wikileaks deal.. (read more about the initial attack and raids here http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9202838/FBI_raids_ISP_in_Anonymous_DDoS_investigation)

Well, today the hackers struck back by hacking the website of the security company that was initially tasked to track down the hackers for the FBI.

They left this up as the home-page

apparently they posted his social security # on twitter as well :eek4:

and it gets worse

Barr adds that Anonymous is also not quite done with him. “They’re trying to pop my home router. I’m watching IP traffic and they’re trying to get my home box,” he says. “So I just unplugged it.”

http://www.net-security.org/secworld.php?id=10542 The company's President Penny Leavy, Greg Hoglund and Aaron Barr have attempted to do some damage control by talking to the Anonymous members on an IRC channel used by them and asking them to put a brake on their actions - especially when it comes to the disclosure of e-mails that have not yet been published.

Barr denied that he was talking about the selling of the data to the FBI. "The email you are referring to about selling data was about a model built on this type of research. It was not to sell specifically this data," he claimed, and delivered a parting blow: “…guys you hacked our servers, took our data, and posted it to the public...it’s criminal now... it’s out of my hands...”
