Did you pull the heads for a reason? Putting in new head gaskets or bolts or something? Might take the heads in and get them resurfaced just to make sure they're straight....

I got a whole new long block going in. Lol. I hqve been sick qnd don't want to lay on the cold concrete but I wanted to work on the car.... so intake csme off then...

and a extra hour tonight so I pulled the other head off.. I am still sick so I really didnt feel like laying on the concrete.. Hope to get the motor out this weekend. took a few mor pics

looks like a nice build...its nice when you can just do a little at a time and you dont have to cram a whole lot of work into a weekend or a 3-4 day span. 430whp is a bit low dont ya think?

For the underhood lighting, depending on how you want to set it up, the guys on crownvic.net have been using this stuff http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350360900711&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT with great success a lot lately. Basically, if you haven't used it yet, you can chop them at the lines (3 led strips) or use the whole length, hides away easily, they have been "gluing" with RTV or silicone (for easier removal later, yet quite permanent) and are pretty bright. They used them for puddle lights, one guy tried an underhood, but he didn't like how it looked, trunks, etc.

Havent gotten much of anything done on the car in some time. My back if fucked and I am working stupid hours.. but I am going to see a spine specialist on Wednesday so maybe I will get to get some work in in a few weeks.. LOL

Ordered up a 5 meter spool of Blue 50/50 led strip.. Gonna have a shit ton of extra but it was a good Deal

Took a bunch of Vicodin and Flexeril and go some work done last night.. not much but it is progress
Got the car up on stands

modified the bow tie and got it onto the grill and grill in


pulled the headers
gonna clean them up a bit

Cant wait til my back is better so I can make some real progress..
went to the Spine specialist and he gave me even more drugs ( arthrotec ) to take twice a day with my Vicodin and Flexeril and I have to do physical therapy for a month before they can do an mri or my insurance wont cover it.. I think I am just goona go see the Chiropractor if I go three times a week for like a month and twice a week for two more months it gets better for about six months but then I am right back were I started and $25 copay per visit adds up fast

Got the fuel pump and hot wire kit in last night and ordered some Spohn tubular solid motor mounts.. :bario: gonna have vibrating leather seats LOL

need to order some header and h2o pump gaskets and might pick up a set of stainless header bolts.. any suggestions? last time I used felpro gaskets and they seemed ok.. do I really need to spend $100+ on header bolts?
