1989 Pontiac Trans AM GTA $3500

For sale is a REAL one owner 1989 Pontiac Trans Am GTA, 5.7 Litter V-8 350, Automatic 700R4 Transmission, T-Tops, Red exterior with Gray leather interior and only 80,000 original miles. My grandfather purchased this car brand new in 1989 from a Pontiac dealership in Florida. It has spent its whole life in Florida till I brought it to Chicago in 2009. This Trans Am runs and drives perfect I just replaced the plugs, wires, cap & rotor, brakes, battery, mass airflow, two new injectors, Changed oil, Change differential fluid and Transmission fluid. I was in the process of restoring this car for the last couple of years I have well over $5,000 dollars in new parts that I have purchased for this car. Most of the interior was pull out and restored back to brand new that would include leather seats, carpet, steering wheel and other misc. interior parts. The new interior has not been put back in yet I was planning on repainting the car and putting the interior back in it once it was done. This car is very clean with no rust anywhere. I am selling this car because I will be losing my heated garage storage spot and I refuse to keep it outside in this Chicago weather. The car is about 85% restored right now and would just need someone to paint it if you chose to and put the interior back in. This car is very rare to find anymore and a piece of American history so please only buyers who are serious and in the market for this type of vehicle. I am asking $3,500 The car is located in Westchester, IL 60154 call or email me if you are interested in looking at it. The vin number is 1G2FW2180KL254242 the photos below are how the car looks right now without the interior.

Real Name

I had heard g92 cars had different cams but i dont know if that was ever proven

I'm not 100% sure that was proven either, but from what I understand, G92's have:

-Oil Cooler
-245/50 Goodyear Gatorback tires
-3.42 Gears
-Rear Disk Brakes
-Different Cam
----If it's a 305 cid, the horsepower
----goes UP from 205 hp to 225 hp
-ALL G92 cars were mated to manual transmissions.
-Usually (still) have the Dual Catalytic Converter exhaust.
----given the age, this could have been
----changed or swapped in or out.

Now, just because they were RATED at 225 hp, they actually dynoed faster than the 350's. I happen to have a G92 1991 Trans Am convertible (see avatar) that does NOT have the rear disc brake option
