so you're gonna turn luke's into another geriatric festival with those stupid dolls on the cars

maybe you can hire a DJ and get the waitresses to deliver food on roller skates in the parking lot

Fuck no. I hate the shows that are nothing but old guys sitting around. Ever been to a Double K show? That's the kind of show we want to put on. We are using them as our model as they have done a great job making car shows fun.

So you want to give out trophies to people that keep their cars clean and make poster boards with their mods on them at Lukes. Is that right?

Most of our awards will be voted on by the people that are attending and/or those entered into the show.

We are also going to have a ton of other awards for things like "Best Motor", "Best Daily Driven", "Best GTO" and things like that. There is going to be no judging here as that just causes arguments. You can win something even if your car isn't spotless. I know some people don't have time to Q-Tip clean their cars, but they still have cool rides.

Take Eagles car for example...I know he's been building it for a long time, and he's had it out without a front end even from what I've been told. That kind of commitment deserves to be recognized.

then maybe choose somewhere that isnt Lukes..that would be a good start

We have a few other locations that we're looking into. Luke's is just a place that we are familiar with and that is familiar with the benefits of car events. They have been so good to everyone that we want to do anything to bring them more business that we can.

Luke's was suggested to me by another member of our management team that is also a TCG member, that's why it was picked to hold our first event if possible. If the higher ups at TCG have an issue with us holding an event at Luke's, all they have to do is tell me and we will work something out. We already have plans to give TCG their own area at the show and a chance to advertise themselves since Luke's is their home turf. Heck, I've already set up a TCG forum on our forums!

Maybe I'm just totally wrong here, but let's think about this.

Your 'new' organization will be holding similar events (car shows, not meets) in the same location (Luke's) that we already hold our deals (meets) at. So you want to advertise this similar event (car show) in the exact same place (TCG) that founded the events at the location (Luke's meets) you're going to use. Additionally, we (TCG) get a section of the forum on your forum (your forum) and space at the event (car show, not meet) at the same place (Luke's) that we started (I started) 2 years ago.

Goddammit this is the best idea I've heard in a long time.

Fighting for piece of the pie where there's really no pie to be shared.
