the quest for the 8s on 17" rims and drag radials is getting some needed help.

I already ordered a new 88mm compressor wheel turbo. This one should be good for 1500hp. Oh mai!

The motor may get a solid roller cam actually designed for the motor & turbo. Unlike the cam currently in it. haha

Changing from a 3.25 ring and pinion to a 3.00 or 2.70 set. I also already bought Afco double adjustable shocks to help dial out the tire shake it gets on the radials some times.

Below are a couple of options I am looking at if I decide to raise my budget. lmao

A full zoot th400 with Grinder valve body that I can leave in second gear on the trans brake (kills the gearing for slippery tracks) and a billet turbo converter.

A lightened billet crank, lightened billet rods and big bore piston may make their way into the block if I decide to spend money on it. Right now I am really talking myself out of spending that money. haha

It's the holidays and Da Capri deserves those presents. You'd pickup some nice power and extend your power curve with a custom turbo cam for your car. Why would you talk yourself out of that?

I really want to do that in the spring. I know some people might say to spend that money on the Mustang to make it faster, but I spend just as much time (if not more) in the G8.

And I don't plan on modding it enough to cause reliability problems. I just want to do full exhaust and a CAI. That would be fast enough for a high 12 / super low 13.

I can use the winter to do some research on which LT's I should pick-up. I hear great things about Kook's, but they're up there in price. I guess it won't be that much compared to what I was going to spend on the Mustang build. I'm sure I can count on some assistance with the install since we all know how good I am at cross-threading header bolts.

The cam is some thing I want to do. Will be about $1000 and that is fine. Although right now I am lazy and don't want to work in the cold garage. haha

What I am trying to talk myself out of is spending $5000 on internals and labor for the short block. And another $4000 on a th400. haha
