Don't waste money on a 90mm TB. Just do LID, headers, y-pipe, cat-back if you want basic mods this spring. All year WS6's have the badges unless someone removed it. Did the seller claim this was a WS6?

I like how the Subaru guy is the first to identify cues that suggest this may not be a genuine WS6, which is important because it directly affects pricing/value of the car. Thanks for keeping us honest imp0rted1!

I like how the subaru guy doesn't know what he's talking about. All LS1's were fitted with an LS6 intake manifold starting in 2001, didn't matter if it was a ws6 or not, also, no EGR started in 2000 I believe and had nothing to do with the ls6 intake manifold.

on the title it said firebird formula and here's the information after typing in my vin numbers

http://www.compnine.com/vid.php?vin=2g2fv22g4x2212401

I hate to say it but that isnt a WS6 man. If the seller told you it was, you got scammed. Like I said, they are worth more. $5800 would be a great price for a WS6 with under 100K. $5800 is just a average winter price for a TA of that condition. The body work isnt exactly a "easy" fix either. Im just telling you like it is, I know you like to get the best deal thats why you made this thread. But if you know nothing of these cars you probably should have took someone with you to look at it or posted pics on here. Im sure its a great car and you will enjoy but im not sure you got what you were thinking.

That is not a formula front bumper or a formula spoiler. Something is fishy, stay away.

My title said Firebird Formula, I think all the Trans AM titles do.

Panda you are correct about it not being a ws6 and on the rpo codes it should say ws6. It's sad that your own friend would due this to you, it would have been a okay deal if it were a real ws6. but since it's a regular ta with body damage and needs rims it just does not seem like a good deal. When u first posted pics the hood did not look right and no ws6 badge and no ws6 wheels and air lid box confirmed it was not a ws6 someone with a real ws6 is not going to remove everything to make it be a regular t/a.

As for the title I've owned 5 ws6's and they all said firebird formula. This also includes my firehawk which is a t/a firehawk that I have the birth cert, and original window sticker and SLP add on window sticker.
If you want an original ws6 lid let me know I have an extra one just pm me.

I have a friend with an LS6 Intake with a ported throttle body powdercoated black. Make an offer! Worst he can do is say no, but a reasonable offer. He didn't cheap out on it.

talked to my neighbor he said he bought the car about 4-5 years ago on ebay. the seller was from springfield, IL. he doesn't have the orginal owners phone number but will do some searching on his ebay account. he thought it was a WS6 cuz of the M6 and ram air hood. me i don't know much on the TA ws6 either. when i heard that he was selling the TA i jump on it cuz i been wanting either a LS1 camaro or TA even before i bought my monte carlo. whether it's a ws6 or not i don't give a rats ass all i want is a rear wheel drive V8, which i got it. beside this TA is not going to stay stock very long. as far as the value of reselling it doesn't matter now is it? im happy with my new toy!
