I was going to pick up some used tires off of some people on the forum, but I found a buddy who works at just tires. These will be some all season tires. Which ones should I pick up? Im looking for some decent mid range priced tires. Also, I remember being told to stay away form the stock size and get an inch (or so I think) smaller in wall size. Anyone what im talking about/what size that is? What tire(s) do you suggest?

Who told you to get tires an inch shorter than stock and stay away from stock size wtf? Bfgoodrich traction TA (dunno if they are made anymore) Kumho ASX i would highly recommend as an all season

225/60/16, 235/55/16, 245/50/16 iirc are sizes for 16 stock, though the 245s are shorter and the 235s are taller

Thanks for all the input.

Iirc 10secsomeday (i hope im not throwing you under the bus) told me something about the tire size, not getting the stock size. If you get a smaller something it gives a less boaty feel. I cant remember exactly what he said... Maby if he hops in here he will remeber.
Shorter sidewall will give you a firmer ride, due to the stiffness of the sidewalls.
no he probably said like a 215 wide tire would cut through snow better. If you are buying all seasons buy a 225 60 16 if you want performance buy 245 50 16.
What performance? Driving to and from work? Driving in a straight line down the drag strip? A heavy car with street tires will see minimal 'performance gains' from a wider tire, especially one that is on a wheel that is too narrow.

Yep, gotta get max traction at all times. Never know when you will pull up next to a flamin regal at a stop light. Its not all about the extra width. They make like zero really nice high performance summer only tires in 225 60 16. Don't worry I got a even wider 255 50 16 tire for the drag strip.

they make zero performance summer only tires in 225/60/16 because its not necessary :dunno:
