trouble with dhp software

Ok well I'm using windows 7 on this laptop. From what i hear it shouldn't be a problem.

The message I always get once I go for installing software says I need to download some microsoft net. After I DL it I go to try and install the software again and message still says I need to DL the same thing.

Cant get around it so far, any insite?

Ok well I tried getting it to work but the off brand "key span" I got for now dident work for my 64 bit for windows 7. I got a windows xp laptop, got dhp software on there and the usb-serial downloaded on there and tried it out BUT it was a no go, after starting dhp up it talks about a first time run. It has you accept the terms and conditions then asks you to turn car to ON position then click OK. After we do that its has a message come up and its not able to connect. Is there anything im missing? Im looking over the User manual right now but if anyone see's that I'm skipping a step or dident do something right let me know, thanks!
