Are we on honor system the car is stock and no assists?

I'm pretty sure no assists were on for mine... I just used the default settings. Honestly the Suki sucks so hard that I think assists will just slow u down and it has only mild understeer in Chicago and hammerhead so I doubt even tires would make a big difference

What exactly are we classifying as assists? Steering Assist? ABS? Traction Control?

Some 'assists' are on by default, others are not.

exactly my point... im not sure what assists were on... i just clicked ok when it got to the screen so its just whatever default is. i feel that is the easiest and most fair way to go. i know for sure i had the racing line on but thats by default so i dont think thats cheating

im gonna play tonight until i hit 1:32... if you combine all my good sections id easily make it, but as soon as i get a good lap going ill blow it in gambon, or i will rock chicago and mess up hammerhead..... the real key is getting a good running start, the first lap is simply to get a good exit from gambon... the 2nd lap is really the first one that counts

In Forza, the fastest lap times were made with all assists off, including ABS. It's probably the same for GT5.

I don't really care if assists are on... if u need them with the suzuki swift, u probably shouldn't be playing the game

But seriously, your times will be worse with them on.

Right now I'm not using the wheel, but my dad bought himself one of those racing seat/wheel stand dealies and the top-o-the line wheel/shifter/pedal contraptions, so I might eventually start using that. I'm just too lazy to hook my playstation up to all of it.

k...cleared my top gear leaderboard...gonna see if i can reproduce the 1:30....i'm a decent racer, but i dont think i'm 3 seconds faster. tires are set to the default comfort ones...lets see what i can manage.

im calling BS on my time. i cant get close to it again. i think i may have switched tires when i let colleen drive and it never went back.

updating the board w/ my new revised time (which will change again. i gotta stop playing in a bit)
