2003 Ford Crown Victoria LX Sport

Kenne Bell 2.1L Big Bore Supercharger 9psi
3.73 Ford Racing Posi
T.C.T. 2600 Stall Converter
Reprogrammed 4R70W Transmission
All Tuning Performed By Alternative Performance
Magnaflow Exhaust
Marauder Spoiler
18" Wheels from 2007 Mustang GT
BF Goodrich Radial TA Tires
Original 17" Wheels w/ Pirelli P Zero Tires Included
Tinted Tail Lights and Reverse Lights
Color Matched Door Handles and Mirrors
Grade 35 Tinted Windows
P71 Certified Calibration 140mph Speedometer
White Faced Gauges
Carbon Fiber Overlay on Interior Wood Trim

I built this car for fun and turned it into the sport it should have been from the factory. The car only has about 3000 miles on the supercharger, has never been to the track, stored in the winter months and rarely driven in the rain since I purchased in 2007. The kit was put on this past year before summer and had the tune completed the end of June. The engine pumped out just over 400hp and 440tq. The vehicle is a lot of fun to drive, all around great performance. It acts more like a sport car than a large sedan. If you have any questions please contact me before bidding. Thanks for looking.

I've been eyeballing the Sport LX models and Marauders for a spring purchase.

Would love to rock one cause they're cheap, comfortable and will last forever ever.

Didn't know they made a Kenne Bell for it. Interesting. Will have to search crownvic.net some more.

i'd love to get a newer marauder or 96 imp ss for a DD when my commute is not so far lol

Why not the crown Vic or caprice that are old cop cars? You'd save yourself a few grand and you can use that money for the appearance to make it look like the marauder or impala. O performance wise the caprice 9c1(cop car) is slightly faster then the impala stock vs stock and both of them are faster then the marauder :)

i had a 94 9c1 cop car... and my dads 96 imp ss whoooped on it. the small things teh impala has makes it look awesome...

the rounded quarter windows... the meaner stance... oh. and 96's with the floor shifter and not digital dash are awesome.

barrington PD is selling an all black crown vic tho that is in goood shape. id rock the fuck out of it

95 & 96 caprice's have the rounded quarter windows.... Stance that's what springs are for....96 caprice's I believe have the non digital dash....appearance wise all it is are impalla rims, spoiler and grill the the stance, the only difference inside all leather seats and nicer carpeting, wood grain dash can be found in the caprices. And the impala is heavier becuase of the leather seats. Both have same motor lt1 either your dads isn't stock or you didn't have the greatest 9c1 caprice. Look it up on impalassforum and everyone there states the caprice is slightly faster then the impala stock vs stock.

Also the 3-4 grand you'd save from buying the caprice vs the impala you take 400 for rims plus add expense of tires, 100 for the grill and 100-200 for spoiler/trunk, springs and shocks 400(which puts the car the stance you want) and you just saved yourself 2g's for what is the same car

Edit if you really want the floor shifter that 'll be another 100 for the console and shifter.

Plus 95 and 94 no emissions :)

Its just a standard issue 4.6 (even the police interceptor) so install whatever supercharger you like. If you are lucky enough to find a SVO supercharger these days its a pretty popular swap on T-Birds, with Vortec as the 2nd most popular.

Not a bad ride at all. I'd certainly rock it.

I'd rather have a crown Vic over a caprice. I think they look meaner.

Though my friend has a caprice with painted black impala wheels, a huge drop (like 5" front 4" rear) and just bolt ons. It's not race car fast but it does alright for it's size. I think it's running high 13's. He auto-x's it :mamoru:

my dads imp has 22k original miles on it... its perfect... id just rather have a imp ss to start out with than have to turn a caprice into one...

I hear you, just trying to save ya some $$$ if all you were planing on doing was using it for a DD. If I was to ever do what I wanna do to the caprice I'd actually buy a rolling impala to do it to. Ls motor,t56, 4:56 gears ect..... I see it being more benificial to me in the long run as I'd eventually do a full off body resto to get at any rust.

Holly hell that is a big drop, please tell me he lives out on the country for when he drives that car on the street. Not sure if you've ever seen my caprice but it's got the lowest lowering springs on it and I scrap my exhuast all the time. I'm something like 3.5" front 4" rear to have it sit level across. He's either cut the springs which are sprint springs or went coilovers or air bag set up unless that drop is going from the caprice hieght verse the impala stock hieght. Also yeah it's amazing that a few bolt on's can get this busses moving and suspension upgrades can really make this pig feel like a go cart for turning. O I actually think GTO's weight more. :mamoru:

 I must be off about an inch on the drop then. I'll see if I can find a picture....he moved out to Cali a few years ago and we've been outa touch.

Last I heard he had headers, full 3" duals, some intake, 3.73 gears and a built trans. He had a bunch of suspension stuff too and I think a lot of it is gutted. It had a bunch of extra stuff from being a cop car like a huge ass metal plate behind the seat

You might actually be right for the drop if he was going off the stock hieght of the 9c1 caprice. They sit the highiest out of the civilian and impala. The lowering springs when purchasing go off the stock hieght of the impala's hieght. And woops guess the cops forgot to pull the "cage" out before they sold it. If you look in the members rides I have pics from a few weeks ago just after I put the winter rims on but you can still tell the tires are slightly tucked :D

96 9C1's were digital still.

As for the vic... imo it needs a honeycomb grille, but otherwise :fy:

Thanks for the correction wasn't to sure:bigthumb:. 93 9c1 did how ever have digital speedo but a analog tach, but you only get the 350tbi motor in that. I know that for a fact as that was my first car.

And if anyone couldnt tell how biased I am for the caprice over the Vic:rofl:

Thanks Joel, looks like he is mostlikely sitting on hotchkis springs is there is still a very small gap between the fenders and tires front and back. Btw nice wall ride who ever is doing it and I swear I've seen this pic from somewhere, just can't pin point it.

Part of the Impala SS's stance is that it has a wider body. So its not just the wheels and bumpers.

:rollpicard: don't know where you got that info from but that is false! Body wise everything is the same except for the hood on the impala's not having the hole in it for a hood ornament and the grill is different. The trunk lid, which is also the same just having the spoiler bolted on it. Body panels, doors, front and rear fenders, even the bumpers are the same. I will say however that some caprice's including mine have a chrome strip that runs along the bottom of the doors.

Really wanna get your mind blown, 100% of parts can be swapped between the cars! Also most parts can be intertwined between the caprice, impala, caprice wagon, Buick roadmaster, roadmaster wagon, and last but not least that alot of people don't know the cadillac fleetwood. All ride on the same chassis, same power trian and quite a bit of other things.
