no. I switched mine over to regular antifreeze. It's funny when I go to oil change places in the winter and they come up to me with a concerned look and ask me who changed the antifreeze and that it is wrong.
Dexron eats up the gaskets. There are a lot of pending lawsuits about it.

:werd: I switched to green too. Just make sure you flush it good and get all the dexcrap out of it. Peak and a few other companies make this cleaner that you can put in with all the water after you flush out all the old coolant and run it for a little bit to make sure you get all the shit out of there.

I got yellow yesterday because I had pink and mixed in dex with pink because I didn't know it had pink it, started gunking up my coolant level sensor. I thought yellow and green was the same. Well as long as it's not orange I guess.

Yellow is actually for mercedes I believe.

What exactly is it you guys use? I was looking on the Autozone website and did not see any "green" bottles?

Just green coolant. Nothing special just regular old antifreeze. Even the advance auto parts brand stuff will be fine. It's cheaper too.

keep in mind that cummins doesnt use OA coolants in their diesels because it attacks the silicone seals in the engine leading to potential coolant/oil contamination (sound familiar???) guess what our lim gaskets are made with?

flush well and convert to green, the best part is you dont need to flush it ever again....every 30-36k just drain it after driving it and refill, voila! corrosion inhibiters and lubricants are replenished....and its cheaper

I've had dexcool for 13 years in my gtp, 340,000 miles never changed it once. I run 56° of timing in all cells including idle and my pistons are made from dirt and concrete, no problems. I have been running the same oil for the life of the car, cheapest you can get at walmart, no problems. Tires are factory straight from gm and i pull consistent 1.4 60's and no problems.

"There's good news and bad news," the divorce lawyer told his client. "I could sure use some good news," sighed the client. "What's it?" "Your wife isn't demanding that your future inheritances be included in the settlement." "And the bad news?" "After the divorce, she's marrying your father." No money no way in real life,no gold no way in game!
