Gotcha, yeah stock wheel base will make a difference with launch technic but I think It's all up to the rider to find what works best for him.

So far my best 60 ft has been a 1.59 which was last week and just this Sunday I pulled a 1.609 60ft. Now I need a new clutch so hopefully when I get back out to the track I can cut some 1.5's . Oddly these 1.6's feel slow like as if they were 1.7's or 1.8 60ft. I think I might be getting use to this bike.

I really wanted to do the Rickey Gadsen trick they used to get the ZX9R into the nine's in the article, but the track (Rt. 66) wouldn't let me. Basically, you run a threaded rod through the front axle, and run barbell weights on each side. I put it on after I had the tech check it out, but was caught at the line with it...betcha at Byron it would have gone unnoticed!

About the foot peg thing, thinking about it...probably depends on first gear. I was set-up with 2 down in the front, and 4 up in the rear...plus first was steep anyway. First gear was good for like 15-30 feet at the track for me (or so it seemed).

are you using the clutch when shifting? I know you are a big guy, but try tuckin in a little more if you can.

Yeah, forgot about that. It's a fine line of better times vs. hurting the clutch. I killed my clutch...

Put in an HD clutch.

I wanted to do an electric solenoid tied into the ignition to cut the ignition between shifts...just never got around to it!

I was trying to keep my design on the DL. I had a local welder add a bracket I made to the shifter for a cable attachment. I was going to mount the solenoid out of sight. I had it mostly done, and I probably still have the cable assembly and solenoid somewhere.

Air is really the standard, but if you do it try to find an ignition interrupt...it'll save the gears and won't hurt ET.

Also, I know you said new gears are on order...but down the road look into a lightweght chain conversion for the bike. Of the mods I did to mine, it was the best mod. Bike is way more "flickable". Only problem I had with it was killing rear sprockets every season.
