how much power can those internals take?

as someone mentioned... over 800 whp is currently holding together on stock bottom end of the zzp drag car and that number will probably get to 900whp before the end of the season

they make forged and every expensive fully built blocks, but the guys running those multi thousand dollar blocks dont make much for power... its called the turbo black hole in the 3800 world, super builds, make 500whp and then demod

Do you people really think zzp is running a stock bottom end? I'd believe shawn mayes before I believe those guys. That's a very modded bottom end, oiling, rods, etc. They didn't take that out of some buick and make 800whp. Just sayin...

ive been canibalizing some of my donor GM harness' (and ya'll call me crazy for keeping junk around) to make sure all wire colors are correct. but so far ive extended 42 wires, rerun/routed for minimal visual impact/easier maintenance, taped up a good bit of the octopussy legs but i still have some core bundle work and im hoping the last 10 wires can be run without me requiring extending them 6 inches.

and then the shithead that thought he was funny tossing fartbags in my backyard and even in my garage

On the subject of ZZP running bone stock bottom ends, yes, I fully believe that.
The one time I was through their shop they were in the process of building the TTGT, and they had a bunch of stock junkyard motors lying around. They had enough of them that they said they didn't care if they blew a few up, so they tossed one in, and it lasted. From what I gathered they expected to torch a few but never did. You can preach oiling mods all you want, but I believe 100% that the block that Matt ran in the drag car (before the current line of "race blocks") was a stock shortblock with a different bumpstick.

This, and why would they lie about this, if it was a ZZP built block, they would be wasting a good advertisement lying and calling it stock

My whole point was and still is that people say "blah blah blah, zzp has a bone stock bottom end, rah rah, blah" with every assumption that they can just go the the junk yard, grab a motor, stick it in their car, and mke 750+whp. Since this isn't a possibility because it would need modifications to the bottom end to spin as high as they do then it's not "bone stock". If my car didn't count as bone stock because it had a tune, then zzp's block was NOT bone stock. Maybe a modified stock block, because that's what it is, ok fine. I challenge anyone to make 750whp with an unmodified stock bottom end, as in NOTHING gets changed. I will gladly bow down to the almighty leg humping crowd when that happens, but it won't so you will never see me

im sure they are telling the truth that block was stock. they may have been lucky and got a block with .125 at the cam bearing shell with that stocker, only they would know.
im just wondering what they've done to their race motors, cause plain and simple the stock windage tray/oiling system leave much to be desired.

if you have your pan full and launch hard it does nothing to keep all that oil away from the crank whipping it onto #4 and that 3mm oil ring and 4 tiny 2.5mm holes sure as hell cant handle it.
ive pulled apart more than a few of these bastards and on every one there was oil pressent in the 1st and 2nd rings on #4 and only the 2nd ring land on the other holes...
that kinda sorta makes me think the factory setup is ok for stock...but thats it
