My buddy had a 03 Type S, pretty peppy and reliable. the only problem he ever had with it is the trans would grind on some of the gears and pop out of gear. from what i heard it was quite common for them to do that.

yup, coworker used to work at acura and said they were in all the time for trans problems, mostly burnt clutches on the type-s cars from all the kids beatin the crap outta them

Overall its a nice dependable car, the only big thing I'd worry about is theft. As for the clutches and trans, the trans is not really a weak point, a clutch is a wear item so if you buy it used, depending on who owned the car, it might have to be replaced.

ive already looked into the clutch thing, theyre pretty cheap and i know i can handle the labor. and theft isnt big in my area, livin in the boonies ftw

i used to have an 05 type-s

it was a good car.. but noisy as hell inside.. horrible on the highway because the motor would be at 4k rpm while going 80, and all you would hear is the sound of the engine. you would also feel every bump in the road because suspension. it was pretty peppy and did have good handling tho..

overall a fun car, but i hated mine.. i sold it after 6 months. I need something more comfortable and enjoyable to drive on the highway.

and i actually did have some trans problem too.. going into 3rd, it would sometimes not go all the way in and pop out. never a big deal because you would get the feel of it and learn when you had to just give it a little extra push. (and it was Never abused. i knew the pervious owner.. just a common problem from what i found)

if your looking for a good daily driver find a e46 3 series.. maybe get an awd model... i bet you could find one under 10... boosted just sold his 04 325xi with 100k miles for 11g.. was pretty clean to!

ive read that too, but it seems to only be in the 04-06 models, and i really dont have the funds to maintain a 3 series, thats y im looking more towards a newer honda or acura

Biggest problem is wrong wheel drive.

They are nice, reliable cars though. (pretty much all Hondas are)

this def wont be race car, thats in the sig hahaha
