Other then that I think it's a cool show. Ita nice to see Ramsey as more himself and not to be told to act like a total dick like on hells kitchen. If you watch any of his other 30 shows like F-word or kitchen nightmares he actually seems to care and help people. I think fox just tells him to be an ass.


I was kind of sad to see the guy with 3 fingers leave because he couldn't chop some onions. Since when do you have to prep fast to be a good cook?

I've never seen master chef though. I watch top chef all the time. thats my fav competition show.

I beg to differ. You can take an hour to cut one onion and still cook amazing food. If you're working in a restaurant then yes you're correct. Isn't the prize a cook book and money?

I know but thats what most shows are about. I actually prefer to work slow because thats just how I am. WHen at work or school its like BAM BAM BAM BAM. fuck shit up and call it a day. for top chef the prize is an article in food and wine magazine, like a trillion dollars, and some other stuffs. A home cook is super different than a restaurant cook. just sayin

Master chef takes people who basically aren't in the food industry (ie. home cooks, self taught cooks etc) and they get judged by gordan Ramsey, Joe bastianich and Graham elliot on their food. The last task was cook something using a single egg as the "star" of the dish and they could use anything they provided on this huge ass table. That to me shows who's a good cook and who isn't. Taking a bunch of amateurs but passionate food people and judging their onion cutting was lame.

3 fingers didn't go home for his onion, he passed and pretty early. he went home for his egg.

a few people are from il, including indian teacher chick. i like her she seems cool. some of the other people i liked went home for their eggs though.
