That is if they even came back at all, or even cut the cop off,.....dash cams tell a lot....Maybe the cop lost control and rolled in the chase and the bikes where not even near him....so many options, and the story is off the cops word unless the is video......
either way fucked up and I would nto want to ride if I lived in Seattle right now truth or not truth on this story
This. I know marauders are sometimes used for highway patrol because they go over like 150mph....or close to it.well when the cars are limited at 120+ or not at all, catching up to them can be quite possible.
I'm not going to get too far into this though, its already turning into a flame fest...
Normal car, loses everytime, cop car, has to move....but if it was down south with the honky cop, they have crash bars for this reason...
Not saying what the guys did was right ont he bikes to cut the cop off, but to run people over is ignorant
Why?
I would have hit the assholes. If you are going to act like an idiot and cause a police officer to crash and potential kill himself and others on the road, I say it's justified.
Glad I am not in Seattle.....that state is gonna be on a rampage for bikes now....
Not depfending anyone.....NO ONE KNOWS WHO OR HOW IT TRUELY HAPPENED!
Cops tell the truth 100% of the time too....
in4dashcam!
The part is hard for me to swallow is that the bikes where going voer 100mph.....and the cop caught them and was cut off by a few bikes......cop car can catch bikes on the highway now?
Also IMHO the bikers came back to make sure there wasn't a fatality. I used to run with a pretty large crew, and I never ran into anyone so shady they wouldn't value another human life.
I hate to say it but I do not think two idiots cutting off a cop is far out of line. I see jag off bike riders cutting me off all the time just riding. They don't seem to concerned about their life or anyone else's life either. I personally know people who ride like this. It happens. So when trying to get away from the police I can see such a move happening. The dash camera will show it all. So I guess we will see.Yeah, I have to agree with this one. 100mph on my ZX9R was pretty much like just putting along on the highway. A twist of the wrist and 150Mph is just a blink away. More than likely the cop couldn't keep up and rolled it on a long sweeper or diesel spill. Also IMHO the bikers came back to make sure there wasn't a fatality. I used to run with a pretty large crew, and I never ran into anyone so shady they wouldn't value another human life.
Motorcyclists taunt injured State Patrol trooper after he crashes chasing them
Today, 12:04 PM · UPDATED
A 46-yeaer-old Washington State Patrol trooper suffered a mild concussion, cuts to the head and neck and bruises after he lost control of his car while chasing a group of motorcycles traveling more than 100 mph at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Seattle along northbound Interstate 5 near State Route 599, just north I-405 and Kent.
Trooper Brian Salyer radioed dispatch that he was attempting to overtake a group of motorcycles traveling at more than 100 mph on northbound I-5 from southbound I-405, according to a State Patrol media release.
As Salyer attempted to get close enough to identify the lead (and fastest) of the reckless bikes, two of them intentionally cut in front of his patrol car forcing him to swerve and slam on the brakes to avoid running them over.
That action apparently caused the trooper's car to lose control on the ramp from northbound I-5 to northbound State Route 599, strike the guardrail and violently roll several times before coming to rest in the ditch.
The force of the collision pinned Salyer in his vehicle. Firefighters were forced to extricate the trooper from the car.
Salyer told State Patrol investigators that as he was struggling to get out of the severely damaged car at least two of the reckless motorcycle riders returned to the collision, parked within 30 feet of his car, got off their motorcycles and began taunting him by clapping and laughing at him as he was bleeding and struggling within the wreckage.
The riders rode off quickly as other motorists began arriving and assisted the trooper by calling 911.
The State Patrol is withholding information and descriptions of the motorcyclists until detectives can contact all potential witnesses and collect evidence.
Salyer was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was treated for a mild concussion, head and neck lacerations, and significant bumps and bruises. He is expected to be released from the hospital Wednesday. Salyer is a 22-year veteran of the State Patrol.
Pizza puff the dash cam will show no bikes around the cop car when he rolls his shit
I'm not saying that they could identify these guys even if they were without helmets. I was just arguing the fact that it is very likely these guys were not wearing helmets.
Understood, but in states with helmet laws people generally wear them to not get hassled. Plus, it's a bitch to see at high speed w/o a helmet, and the temp was in the mid 70's there...usually the helmet isn't hot to wear until it's in the 80's outside. I just based my assumption on the facts.
Michigan is a helmet law state and someone i know from there says people cut off people not wearing helmets on purpose because they are breaking the law.
I vote that you will not see the "cutoff" cause the dash cam shows the front of the car. Not whats at the sides. Since you normally need to be beside someone to cut them off, you will see bikes in front of him, then swerving, if anything.
