This makes no sense at all...before you go through the trouble of getting it lengthened. Put the car on the ground and roll it back and forth to settle the suspension. With any lower control arm car your rearend moves in an arc, so be sure to settle the car before measuring how much yoke you have hanging out. I've delt with this before. You should have an inch to half inch showing out of trans..It should NOT be all the way in tight..or you will burn up the thrust bearing.

Most aftermarket K members usually will move the motor back some for better weigh transfer. But I haven't seen this in LS car K members.
