Well it looks like I may have blown almost $2k for no reason. New trans is doing the same thing that the old one was doing, not downshifting and slipping. This leads me to believe it is a computer issue or something. Brought it over to the dealer I do some work for that my buddy works for to have it scanned like I should have done in the beginning. FML Of course, since I removed the Hypertech tune off of it before bringing it in, it deleted the codes it threw earlier today. They did however get a MAF code and a random misfire code while under load. I knew it felt weaker lately, but I just thought it was getting old. I have recently done plugs, wires, fuel filter, and even run some seafoam through it. Any ideas on what my problem could be?

Yep, brand new low stall converter for plowing and towing. Im hoping they can reflash and it will fix the shifting problem. What could be causing the misfire?

Been doing some reading and it seems a bunch of shit could be causing this code. FUCK.

Just talked to my friend at the dealer and they think it is a bad MAF combined with a cat thats on its way out, but they are checking a couple things in the morning.

Well, it was a bad cat this whole time. It was clogged up and causing too much back pressure making the rpms unstable and fucking up the shifting. Now I get to do headers and offroad Y!

haha not on the truck, a shitload more space in there than the SS. Plus I still have to order the headers so we have plenty of time to get the old shit removed.

Whats the easiest way to gut the cats? We tried beating the shit out of them with a hammer, but that did nothing. The position they are in on the Y pipe will make it near impossible to stick something in there to bust them up.

While I got you guys in here (i see u too Carl!), any reason I shouldn't use the rear o2 sensors and delete the fronts?

On the Camaro I did the opposite, but I already have the rears with the square plug so I would rather not order 2 new ones.
