Why rip out a motor with plenty of potential and spend LOTS of money dropping something else in and dealing with all the extra issues that come with putting a motor/ecu/etc. in a car that was never meant to have it?

why do a motor swap on anything w/ that logic? its different...some people have the money to do the swap...and some people enjoy just making frankenstein cars. :dunno:

id do it...tho id swap a rb into it first if i'm doing a swap.

My logic on motor swaps is they are a good idea on nice light cars that came with crappy powertrains, but have a decent chassis. The 350z is most definitely not that.

I can see why someone would like the idea of going from a 3.5L V6 to a 6.0L V8, but an RB?? That's like moving backwards. The VQ is an all around better powerplant than the RB. It's got more displacement (which leads to a much better powerband), and with some forged pistons and rods it will handle just about anything you can throw at it.
