:werd: why not just take driving school and have supervision...

i completely agree with this... i just went through it... after the class which is "4hrs" (it really isnt if u go to ECC its only a 2.5hr class guy is cool as hell) he will send in a form saying u have completed the saftey course and its taken off ur record with in the next week... supervision is just a bunch of BS and the cop even told me that. id do that then pay a lawyer unless u have had more than one moving violation this year

im not familiar with how the system works now..

EVERY time i have gotten a ticket in the past.. i ALWAYS went to court.. whether it was 10 over... or 110 in a 55...

Now i read the "pamphlet" closer..

it DOES say.. NO COURT APPEARANCE required... and im NOT under 21.. so on the inside it gives me an application for Court Supervision without a court appearance.

"Plea of guilty and affidavit for court supervision"

"I am eligible for court supervision without a court appearance. I hereby enter my plea of guilty to the offense as charged on the ticket referred to herein and waive my right to trial...."

etc..

The i have to sign, print, address, police department.

On the other side its the payment information plus a $5.00 fee. $75 ticket plus $5.

The stipulations are.. You have to not have any convictions in the past 12 months, and are 21+.

i pass both.

That means i can just fill it out and im automatically on court supervision?

How does this affect my insurance? (after the 90 supervision is up)

How will i truly know if im on CS or if im not? lol

You would think for the amount of tickets ive had in my life..

Yea. You should be good to go with court supervision. I know in Kane county you can plea guilty w/o appearance and opt for the drivers course (4hr class first offense, 8 hrs 2nd offense, ...shit out of luck after that). Once you complete the course then it's off your record as long as you don't get another offense within the supervion period. (don't remember how long).
