Looks like iphone4's old outdated cheapo skimpy (yahoo editors quote) camera is blowing the competition away in quantatative tests.

but at this point, we're splitting hairs. i will say tho, the evo's video is meh. i think its software compression is a bit crappy so hopefully that gets patched.

Yeabasically all I'm saying is those morons knocking the camera for being 5mp were wrong.

And that article specifically mentioned something about the video compression saying not only is it better in the ip4 but it also takes up less space

I am kinda ehh about apps running in the background. I have to go into the multitask menu and close apps that I only use once and awhile since there really is no true way to close the app.

I dont want 20 apps running in the background. I dont use the clock all that often. Or the calculator. But I do once and awhile. I didnt count, but had a crazy number of apps open and noticed my phone a bit laggy.

ahhhh yea i noticed that 4.0 slowed down the facebook app, but other than that it actually seemed quicker..... not nearly like the ip4 but still faster than 3.xxxx

I like how the camera snaps pictures instantaneously with the 4.0 fw on the 3GS.

The camera speed is much better. Mine would act up on os3. The volume icon would pop up or the shutter would just be shown closed.

Zoom is awesome too

The camera is even faster with the ip4 running 4.0, it is almost possible to burst shoot

allright. finally something i'm jealous of the iphone for. thats some awesome vids. hopefully google / htc / sprint figures out the compression issue w/ the Evo camera. it takes good enough vid, but its not "720p" quality.

I saw that vid earlier today.

On a side note...I'm STILL having HUGE issues with the App store. I emailed Apple about the situation and some of the problems I have. (mainly cannot load the itunes store "cannot connect to the itunes store"). So I await their response. I haven't had issues until after 4.0 came out and then I updated my 3gs 3.0.1 fw to 4.0 and still have issues connecting to the store. I can on wifi, but problematic on 3g. (i'm guessing issues with ATT more than Apple, but yet everybody I know with an iphone doesn't have the same issue).
