i honestly didnt see too much wrong with this gameive seen far worse called games. now if the flyers won 5-3 with 5 pp goals, yeah, i see the problem, but they had 1. it was more of a case of the hawks werent as sharp as they normally were and the flyers wanted it more like you said. they better wake up coming back home and realize half assed efforts arent gonna win these games.
It wasn't just last nights game, it's been the WHOLE SERIES. Philly was the second most often penalized team in the regular season because they play very physical and sometimes dirty, yet the Hawks (5th LEAST penalized team in reg season) have had HALF the power plays that Philly has had in this Series.
I saw Ladd get hooked in the third period when he most likely would have scored, I saw MULTIPLE blantant cross checks on Hawks players, I saw a few trips not called, etc. Yet Sharp gets called for a phantom slash that no one has yet to find in any replay. How about the Philly player who covered the puck in the crease late in the 3rd and then moved it out of the crease? You can swat at it, but no player but the goalie can cover it with their hand. Was that called....fuck no.
Not to mention that penalties a majority of the time are drawn by good puck possession and pressure in the offensive zone. Yet, many of the Hawks penalties in this series have been taken WHILE IN THE FLYERS ZONE, when the Hawks are putting offensive pressure on the Flyers. That's ass backwards....
It's not just Hawks fans that are complaining either, it's hockey fans in general.
I guess it takes a real Philly fan to be blind to these things.
I just do not see how Kopecky gets called for a crosscheck while battling in front of the net last night. Pronger crosschecked the shit out of Buff in front of the net the first game in Philly, then Buff got up and retaliated with a slash and got called. These are two very similar situations called completely differently. All I want is consistency in the officiating, if they are going to call the game tight so be it. It has to be fair for both sides and it just is not right now.
yep, i had my flyers jersey on the last 4 games man, its been awesome, ive been jerking off to the last 2 wins non stop cause im the biggest flyers fan in history. when i went to the hawks convention i had a flyers jersey on the whole time, and then when i met toews i got his signature and then threw the jersey away cause im a die hard flyers fan man

Going to a Hawks convention doesn't make you a Hawks fan. If I lived in Oakland, I'd go to the Athletics convention, but would still root for the Sox over Oakland, even if I am wearing my McGwire jersey and not my Konerko Jersey. Or if I bring my signed Eckersley ball, and not my Konerko ball.

calling someone out on whether they're a "true fan" or not is the gay as fuck. sean probably knows more about hockey than 99% of the board and has been a diehard hawks fan since ive known him, which is over 10 years. who the hell cares if he also happens to like the opposing team. hell, i cheer for the avs when they play the hawks but if they hawks win, its still a good thing. so instead of trying to instigate shit, and dont lie, thats ALL you guys are trying to do, i'll say again..move the fuck on or knock it the fuck off.
How can you be a "diehard" hawks fan and cheer for other teams, especially a different city? I love watching Basketball, but the only team I am a fan of is the Chicago Bulls. A diehard fan dislikes the other team. Watch an Eagles game and you know what I mean. Phily is a scumbag sports town.
more than any other team i watch, whenever the hawks get a call that goes against them, or the other team tries to play dirty and doesnt get caught, they USUALLY just respond by marching down the ice and popping one in the goal. they've been struggling to do that as of late, but if they can get their rythem back (which they HAVE to), all the foul plays in the world wont make a difference. i have faith.
We are talking sports here. I live in Chicago, so I follow Chicago sports teams. I don't care about the Flyers, Celtics, Lakers, etc. I only follow Chicago teams since it's the metropolitan area I live in. I watch other teams of course, but I can care less if they win or loss; it's pure entertainment. You'd laugh if a "die hard" White Sox fan also was a Cubs fan due to the bitter rivalry. My point, I am a Chicago sports fan and I can care less about other teams. A loyal Hawks fan isn't going to care about other teams or support them. They will support their team....The Hawks only.

For those that didn't take geometry EVER in their life. I've drawn a picture, greasy, observe. In this picture, the supposed overhead camera shows white between the puck and the goal line, but is it actually a goal? I can't believe I actually had to draw a picture.
First off, the goal line is always red, never blue, and extends from one side of the rink to the other. Second, there is no regulation NHL hockey net that looks like a 1/4 circle from above, it would look more like a half cirlce. Third, the puck was almost completely parallel to the goal line. Got any other terrible drawings/theories I can pick apart.
