I used to go to Silver Lake dunes all the time. There were a few turbo quads up there. Most didn't run well, spooled for shit or never run right at all. Not saying it can't be done just an observation.

It is bad when a turbo banshee with a 130# female rider and a swing arm is getting whacked by my 200# ass on a stock swing arm Banshee with a 420 Long rod motor with TT ported jugs. hahahaha

orrrr you could just buy a banshee?

x2 I have a built one for sale cheap too.

Or buy that AND put a turbo on it.

I love 2 strokes. Started on 4 strokes and went to 2 strokes. Never looked back. But people's riding styles work better with different motors and their power delivery. Plus maintenance is so much easier with a 2 stroke. And when comparing the two for turbos the 2 stroke has a exhaust stroke every crank rotation where as the 4 stroke has one every two rotations. So a 2 stroke can feed a turbo like a 4 stroke twice it's size. Not exactly but you catch my drift I am sure.

I am sure with EFI the turbos are easier than they were with the carb set ups. That will be a bonus for sure. I would bet the turbos available now offer a lot more options as well. Faster spool up with out killing top end power due to a restrictive exhaust. Another bonus. The reliability of the turbo and heat management with it will be the biggest hurdles to the set up.

I am all for putting a turbo on any thing. Believe me. lol I hope you tackle the project and it runs great.

btw, Where do you ride around here? All the places we used to ride are town homes or malls now. hahahaha

I knew guys that rode them at the drag strip. They make you pass the motorcycle rules. So not a big deal. Most run 1/8 mile I think. Because of the gearing and tire diameter. I have the smallest rear gear I can run with my carrier and the largest gear on my motor. That thing tops out real quick. Well before the 1/4. Taller diameter tires would help for sure.
