I may, or may not be drunk, but when you unplug the MAF like on my POS 04 CompG, should the car start? I thought it would and divert to a default table, but mine just cranks and cranks. FUCK this car. I also think I have a leaky intake (which was done NOT so long ago) because coolant is disappearing yet theres not noticeable leak.

Well the maf is kinda important so I feel the cars pain when it won't start. Your "default tables" might not be accurate anymore thus rendering the car useless without a maf. As for the other problem, i would check the oil, you could be on your way to spinning a bearing. Who did the intake gaskets?

^ That makes sense then. I was doing some work on my intake piping so I disconnected it and forgot to reconnect it.

Chevy dealer did my LIM about.. 2 years / 30k or so ago. Oil looks great, never watery/milky looking usually pretty darn "clean" looking for 102k mile engine. Car uses maybe 1 quart per 8k. Full synthetic FWIW. The gaskets tho, IMO do look "wet". But the engine compartment is just grimey and I havent cleaned it since I bought it basically.

Come to think of it, you guys may be onto something. I THINK the previous owner had installed a TB spacer (lame). I'm pretty sure the 04+ didnt come from the factory with this piece and I'm gonna guess that its the reason. SOB.

Just replaced an axle last week, and this morning one of the idler pulleys for the s/c belt burned up, and took out the s/c belt and a couple ribs off the accessory belt. DAMNIT.
