Ebay headers FTL. Plenty of ppl run them, but their construction and design is TRASH. I actually bought a set, took pics after I saw how horrible they were, and shipped them back.

Wrote it all up on TECH somewhere. Those OBX headers are junk. Don't waste your time.

just ordered pacesetter headers. question is, should i get a high flow cat, or run catless?? i know i will need to retune for the no cat, but what would you guys do? what are the benifits of being catless?

Catless, 100%.

Only clue I found after re-reading was the word TECH. I assume that's ls1tech.

eBay headers were sweet when I installed a set on a 98 firebird. Slipped right in no problems except notching a tiny bit of the k member.

I REPEAT, THEY ARE GARBAGE FOR FBODIES.

If you say so...... They were like $140 stainless headers that fit no problem. :dunno: you crazy.

And run a cat. Like panda said it'll help with the ass sound. I went catless on my gtp and quickly added a giant resonator to try and tone down the shitty sounds. It helped but not as much as the cat did.

these coming coated?

pacesettes coated + cat are quite pricey lol

no i did not get them coated. i ordered these from WBODYSTORE. so i can always order a highflow cat. im not worried about the loudness, my car is already pretty loud exhaust wise. but if im going to see better gains from no cat then ill go without the cat.

If you ordered them like that wrap them in header wrap, this will keep them from rusting and the under-hood heat will be a minimum. I have mine wrapped and not a spot of rust... That i can see :hsugh:

Header wrap= Changing plugs w/o waiting for cooldown:)fy: cast iron heads) and 100x cooler (temp wise) engine bay

this is probably a stupid question, but how do i wrap headers?? also, interrested in doing a tune?

Purchase header wrap 2" thick in black, clamps, and DEI silcone coating spray. The DEI stuff is a little nicer and not as fluffy as the Summit racing brand, but Summit is less expensive. 50 feet if you want to do it right and have a little extra. Get a friend and you wrap each part of the headers. You overlap pretty heavy while always keeping perfectly taunt. Have one guy hold each item and rotate it while you wrap it. Clamp where you start and finsh. Spray the silicone coating to help seal them in for moisture so they dont rust as easy. We offer this service for and extra $45+ parts when we install headers. If this is your first time playing with fiberglass, id suggest gloves and hoodies.
