We just got our of an hour long meeting I like to call "The AWESOME meeting" lol
We have our plan of attack and team of guys that are going to attack Frank and Chucks car.
We have 30 guys here at AMS and I think a team of no less than 10 are going at these two cars.
I am beyond excited
Eric
So we have our plan of attack:
Chucks car:
motor will be removed and stock turbos taken off
Motor will be reinstalled and a turbo kit using two AMS 750R turbos (rated at 600hp each) will be installed and developed
Chucks spare motor:
Motor will be torn down, sleeved and rebuilt using AMS spec internals....most displacement is more than likely. We are thinking 4.0
Frank and Mikes White car:
Trans is already being taken out and sent off to an undisclosed company for R&D
While the trans is out a complete fuel system will be developed for use on Chucks car, Franks car and for sale to the public. Pumps, Regulators, Lines and new AMS fuel rails
Both cars:
We will be using both cars to engineer and develop an oil cooler solution and trans cooler solution that hopefully doesn't break the bank in term of dollars.
Tuning:
Chucks car will be designed to run either Haltech or Cobb so our customers have a choice. Both companies are working with us on this endeavor
Franks car will be tuned on Cobb using some new AMS intake pipes soon to be offered to the public
As we get some juicy pics I will post them up. Right now its just two GT-R's on the lift all torn up LOL
Eric
Chuck your car is now a hovercraft! lol
Ivan has been busy. Your motor is out on the bench. your rear end is out along with the transmission off to the trans shop for work. The cage was cut out of it to build and install a 8.50 cage and possibly chute. Lots of work going on over here....lots of work
The motor will now go back in the car without the oem turbos and will be passed over to our fab guys to begin turbo kit R&D
While chucks car is under the knife Justin has been hard at work prototyping IC piping and intake piping on Frank and Mikes car. The end product will have a black crinkle coat finish. very stealth.

At AMS we pride ourselves on making the highest quality and most powerful parts on the market. This does not come easy but thanks to our highly qualified team and state of the art equipment we can make that a reality for any customer. One of the tools we use to achieve this goal is our portable CMM arm (coordinate measurement machine).
Our Romer portable CMM allows us to digitally plot any given area we are working with. By taking the arm and touching key points on the motor and the chassis we can digitally recreate the entire GT-R drivetrain in our CAD software. Why is this important? This allows us to make and design the best part possible using the given space constraints. The end result is a product that fits like stock, lasts the life of the car and produces the most power capable in that given area. Remember all that math in school that you thought you would never use in real life? Well we do
In chuck's case we are using this technology to create quite simply the best turbo kit available for the GT-R!
Here are some pictures of one of our engineers Drew Johnson plotting the GT-R engine bay on Chucks soon to be AMS powered 1000plus WHP GT-R!
Stay tuned for more updates!

AMS said:Well we are making some good ground over here on Tim's car. The motor is out and the deatschwerks injectors are installed. The stock turbos are getting swapped as I type with with the upgraded AMS units. The Intercoolers have been removed and replaced with the much larger AMS unit. The stock fuel tank is out and being updated with a very cool dual pump upgrade that installs just like factory. I doubt the dealer will be able to tell we put upgraded pumps in! The big plus is this is that instead of using industry standard walbro pumps we are using a unique pump that looks like stock, flow more fuel and does not have that dreaded walbro fuel pump whine at all.
Also Tim opted to do a little preventative maintenance on his GT-R so we removed his stock transmission and sent it off to Mr John Shepherd for some much needed upgrades. Lots of work going on over here at AMS
Here are some pictures of the progress:
Trans coming out
Removing the stock IC and installing the AMS unit:
Engine out and ready for upgraded AMS Turbo's!
Stay tuned as more updates develop.
