I agree that on average, most domestics suck compared to the imports. BUT if you have ever been over to the countries that import over here, you will know that they only import their good to best automobiles into the US. They have shit-sters too that would bring down their averages across the board...

Also, domestics have learned this and are working on this, improving their products...
