I got busted for passing a school bus with the stop arm out because the driver put the arm out while I was at the front of the bus with no time to stop. She turned in my plate to the cops and they camt to my house and gave me a ticket. I had to get a lawyer, go to court and it cost me about $500 total otherwise I would have lost my licence for 3 months.

Yellow lights are on the bus are there for a reason... they don't mean keep going like everybody thinks like with stoplights...

They are there to let people know "Hey, I'm about to stop and turn the red lights on and extend stop arm. Get ready to stop."

i got pulled over in bull valley last week for "using my turn signal too late before making a turn" i LOL'd cuz it was obvious he just wanted to see if i was drunk or not cuz it was rather late. the truth was that i was coming from a guys house i usually dont visit and was deciding the best way to get home from there, so after i came to a full stop at a stop sign i then turned on my signal when i decided which way i was gonna take. it was bullshit but i was nothing but polite and he was really cool back to me. thats all you can do really, just be nice. arguing will get you nowhere with a cop!

That pisses the hell out of me, when people ignore the lights and blinking red STOP sign and go past a school bus with kids getting on/off.

I stop for the buses here all the time, when there are no signs that say stop or swing arm thing. I've seen people behind me pull out and blow past the stopped bus and almost take out a person or two crossing the street. Idiots

What? For real? Did they ticket him for the tints?

Serious question:

Anyone in the house know the legalities of being asked to step out of your car? You don't have to submit to a search, do you?

i think if they ask you to step out you have to, but if they ask to search, you can deny it.

this is what ur suppose to do... dont know if it works or anything or how the cop would react :dunno:

The U.S. Constitution prohibits the government from interfering with your right to remain silent, to consult with an attorney, and to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures by law enforcement. However, it is up to you to assert these rights.

If you are confronted by a police officer, remain calm. Be courteous and provide your identification. Politely refuse to answer any further questions. Ask to talk to an attorney. Do not consent to any search of your person, your property, your residence or your vehicle. Tell the officer you would like to give him or her this card, which is a statement of the constitutional rights you wish to invoke. Do not reach for this card until you have obtained the officer's permission to do so.

If the officer fails to honor your rights, remain calm and polite, ask for the officer's identifying information and ask him or her to note your objection in the report. Do not attempt to physically resist an unlawful arrest, search or seizure. If necessary, you may point out the violations to a judge at a later time.

i saw a video about this where they acted out some different scenarios.

when they asked the guy to get out of the car he did... he rolled up his window and took his keys with him and locked the door when he got out then closed it. then when the officer asked why he did that he said thats what i always do when i get out of my car.... then the officer asked if he had something to hide and if he could look in the car. the guy said no i have nothing to hide but i do not give permission for you to search my vehicle. so the cop says, you know all i have to do is call and get a warrant or get the dogs for probable cause... he said that is fine but you have no grounds for a warrant... so the cop got frustrated and let him go.

bull valley licks taint. I used to have to drive through there all the time to go to mcc, and the dude in the blacked out impala is a dbag and a half... was once sitting on the side of a road, and when i got to the stop sign he was sitting next to, actually started yelling at me that he was going to pull me over next time he saw me... whatever the fuck that is... i waslike why not pull me over now?!:dunno:

if you get pulled over and they have no probable cause to search the car, then you dont have to let them. tell them your in a hurry to somewhere and its a waste of your time. they cant search locked glove boxes or trunks that are sealed from the cab without a warrant either.

really?? now i know where to keep my gun!!:noes:

No..You don't have to submit to a search. They CANNOT do a search (legally) without your consent with you, and/or lawyer, present. However, they CAN search your car with "probably cause," or if they legally "arrest" you. They'll find whatever reason to make it a "probable cause."

(your tints is a great excuse for them) Also..they cannot search YOU unless you consent or are legally arrested or again, with probable cause.

My cousin got pulled over and the cop asked to search the vehicle. He said he wanted his lawyer present before he would authorize a search. So they just arrested him (no reason for it), and searched his vehicle. It's bullshit because cops will make whatever excuse to do what they want. Gotta love that power trip.

9 out of 10 times its for tints. One cop ended up asking me a bunch of questions like where did I work? Where was I going? Did I go to school? At the time I was working 3 jobs and going to school Full Time so that made me look real good. I guess he realized I was a good kid. On top of that it was a State cop and I didnt have proof of insurance. But I did have insurance on my car.
