it is the calculation because its falling yes, but acceleration is a function of time.

How much gravity affects your car when it accelerates?

Not sure, since my car is on rolling tires. But if my car was sliding on perfect ice with friction of 0, then gravity would have 0 effect on my car unless I was going up or down a hill. What does this have to do with a girl FALLING to earth?

Wait a second, I GOT IT! OK F=MA right? or in this case Force= Mass X Decelleration. The force of her hitting the ground is equal to her mass times the deaccerlation. deaccerlation is her hitting the ground here and slowing down to 0m/sec. So we need to know how long it took her to go from her top speed to 0 once she hit the ground.

ugh, gravity without any resistance IS acceleration. But we're talking about from 450ft. If an object fell forever to earth it will be pulled in by gravity at 9.81.

If you just multiply mass * gravity, that equals WEIGHT

Look at my previous post, we were all calculating wrong, what we need to know is her velocity just prior to her hitting the ground, and how long it took her to get to velocity of 0. How long it took her to get to the ground doesn't matter, it's all about how long it took her to go from Vmax to Vmin.

i like the word deaccerlation

thats just fun to say and im not sure what it is... :hsugh:

acceleration... can be both positive or negative... deceleration is kind of a gay way of saying negative acceleration...

Acceleration is a function of time. You need a time to calculate acceleration, which i assumed was 3 seconds.
