DeRozan isnt even an asset since it's an expiring contract. No one wants to rent him for half a season without an extension.

My son went to the game, sitting somewhere down in the 100 level. Last minute tix, I’m assuming probably weren’t expensive

He probably would have led them to the Finals in 94 after Jordan retired. They got fucked by the refs in the Knicks series. I don’t know if they woulda beat Houston though in the finals. But it woulda been a good series imo.

You have to think that they believe they are better when the team is fully healthy. This is basically one of those "get it done now and be fully recovered by next season" vs waiting to the off-season and trying to ease back next season.
