Fuck that was boring. I fast-forwarded more than half of the race. Hamilton made it to lap six before whining about grip and tires. The best part of the whole thing? Button interviewing Alonso. You can just see they genuinely like each other. Wish they were teammates again.

Also, not a spoiler, and I might have touched on this before, but FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKK DRS. This push-to-pass gimmick has got to go.

Also, I called it with the tire strategy. That's another thing (of many) that needs to be fixed.

Non-spoiler, with the track being resurfaced and being non-abrasive, I really hope this isn’t another Baku where a set of hards will last the whole race, a-la Ocon’s strategy. That was boring as hell.

I am not liking DRS as of late. My thought is to give drivers X amount of time to use DRS the entire race, still can only use while in DRS zone but say you only get 30sec’s and that’s it. Also if you are leading a race you should have your DRS activated if the car behind you has DRS.
There will just be less passing then. The cars are too damn big, so the racing will always suck if you don’t add variables like drs and battery charging. All moot points because the FIA won’t change shit.

really sucks to see Ferrari unable to maintain decent pace...
The Ferrari, or the Haas team with the Ferrari engine that was holding them off for a bit?

I think after Leclerc's crashes in practice and Q3 it made him a little gun shy. Sainz speeding in the pit lane penalty didn't help him, but in the end, it didn't affect his finishing position.

Went to Miami, glad I did as I didn't have to deal with the pre-race show antics and instead just people watched. Overall the race experience was a fun one. It was hot, but they had tons of water fill stations and such - overall the amenities were nice. We were in corner 16 in the 2nd row, so it was neat to be that close and we had a screen to keep track of the race. The PA speakers really didn't do much in our section so it was hard to hear what was going on.

Overall a really fun experience - but I think next year we'll plan on doing either Canada or Mexico if we hit one up.

I've been to COTA for the Power Tour, but never for the race. I always wanted to do the F1 or MotoGP race there and never did for some reason. It's a really nice facility, I'd imagine the F1 race there would be solid.
