Day 3 of occupational rehab in the books and I’m fucking hurting BAD. Middle back strained a little bit, lower back is starting the shooting nerve pain again but not the paralyzing spasms I had before thank God. My legs are mush. An hour into it and I’m okay, 2 hours into it and it’s getting difficult (as it should), by hour 3 I’m legit struggling and by hour 4 today it hurt so bad I almost wanted to cry.
4 hours a day, 5 days a week and no recovery time seems a little excessive and possibly counter productive but apparently it has to be 5 days a week for 4 hours a day. “Luckily” I only have to do this for another 4 fucking weeks and I don’t even know how I’m going to make it through Friday. I want to get back to work and I want my fucking life back but goddamn this shit fucking hurts.
4 more weeks. FUCK!!!!

Where are you going? I was doing work hardening therapy after knee surgery at Barrington ortho. 5 days a week 4 hours a day. Insurance sent me for a second evaluation at ATI, and ATI was like, you need to switch here and do 5 days a week 8 hours a day. Said nope, I'm good at BO. Fuck all that, I was already hurting after the 4 hours.

We’re following a truck that swerves three lanes over and see this pop up directly in front of us today:

There’s always a wreck, a car on fire, or a car missing a wheel on the highway whenever I’m in Indy for some reason.

I’m at Team Rehabilitation in Hoffman Estates. Went in today and my back started spasming again, this shit is not fun and I’m beyond frustrated with my back pain. How does anyone think it’s a good idea to train the same injured spot for 4 hours a day 5 days a week? Even if you’re a gym rat trying to bulk up you target different areas every day, you don’t do the same muscle group every single day for hours. They could at least ease into it and do 4 hours every other day for a week or so and then switch to daily.

I feel your pain. I have the same thing with my right levator scapulae. Did PT to appease the physiatrist, and I'm 99.9% sure she mid-diagnosed it, and the PT worked the wrong area, causing more damage to the area that was actually the problem. Only thing that gives me any kind of accessible relief is multiple trigger point injections into the muscle at multiple depths. Hurts like a MF and only lasts about three weeks, yet I can still trigger the pain itself. I had to stop going for injections cause each visit was $1400 AFTER insurance. Just can't afford it, so now it's a daily suffering. The amount of pain I'm in after just 15 minutes on the cruiser is so bad I can't even turn my head. Takes hours to calm down.

Had a very unpleasant talk with my home insurance company.
The other annoying thing which happened to me today - my iphone decided to block himself exactly at that moment when i urgently needed to contact my customer on a microsoft teams phone number and he was even waiting for that. No idea how that always happens, when my phone is in the pocket , i even didn't press anything. Anyone else having this issue?

Logged into my previous employer's 401k website to check on 401k $$$$$.

Balance = ZERO DOT FUCKING ZERO DOLLARS!

Start going through emails like mad, trying to figure out WTF happened.

Turns out previous employer decided to move to a new fund manager so they rolled my balance over there.

NO FUCKING NOTICE. Not email. Not Written.

I only found out because I called someone who still worked at my old company and they TOLD me and shot me a copy of the email with instructions on how to check.

Some poor schmuck at the previous fund place is gonna get one HELL of an earful tomorrow.

I decided to replace a cracked screen on an ipad today, just to see if I could do it. The uncut Youtube video was 30 minutes and it took me almost two hours. I'm at the very last step after having tested to to make sure the screen and home button works. I apply the double sided tape to seal it all back up. And sure as shit, as I'm pressing the new glass down, IT FUCKING CRACKS!!! It looks like maybe the cord for the home button was sticking out a little more than it should have and that's exactly where it cracked.

Moral of the story, next time I'll just pay the extra $120 and have it done by the professionals.

I've hadn't had the problem of anything breaking again while replacing a screen or battery but it does take long. But I do enjoy doing it. I do have to replace my wife's battery in her iPhone since it swelled up.

I am thinking about getting the battery in my SE 2020 replaced. January 2022 it was at 92% health, by April it was down to 83%. Apple wouldn't replace it, even with the alarming rate of drop. Here we are, April 2023, basically a year later, and it's still sitting at 83%. Something isn't right.

No. And I wouldn't put it past them (Apple) to still have that software issue to purposely decrease the battery usage.

Day 9 of an allergy related sinus infection that turned into bronchitis, z-pack is finished, coughing fits ensue but are better, sinus pain and pressure is enough to move tectonic plates and allergy meds and nose spray have minimal affect with one exception. I woke up in a pool of blood because my nose started bleeding in my sleep. Nasal spray aggravates my nose that’s been broken a dozen times and the capillaries in my nose are very close to the surface. I’m not sure how long it was bleeding but it took 20 minutes to make it stop after I woke up. Sheets in the washing machine and I’m using an upholstery attachment to get the blood out of my mattress and my ears pop from the sinus pressure, my balance goes to shit, I fall over and smack my face on the carpet cleaner…..nose is bleeding again.

Fuck!!! I’d crawl back into bed and do a hard reset on my day but my mattress is now covered in a combination of wet blood and upholstery cleaning solution and I have to get the blood out of the carpet.

Oh and I’m supposed to drive to Downers Grove today for an appointment for my back but I can barely stand up let alone drive. I’m going to reschedule that one.

I should have made sure that the screen would sit flush with the housing before I applied any pressure, that was all on me. If I try again, I will make sure I have that home button wiring seated better.

I always try to do a dry fit first to make sure. It gives that reassurance that everything works fine and as intended. But mistakes do happen.
