I agree, 1/18 has the best details. AutoArt, Exoto, Bburago, Maistro are some of the nicer options in my opinion. I buy them to display them, I don’t keep the boxes so that would hurt resale but that doesn’t bother me. One issue is they take up alot of room.
Only ones worth collecting were/are the 1/18th scale. I have about 20 of them, but I gotta go to my moms to get em.

This silver bmw M3 is the nicest one I have I’ll have to look what brand it is but the interior is top notch and the car is real heavy compared to the rest.

I don't really want to spend more money on 1:18s, but if I did there would be a few I'd pull the trigger on if I was not spending so much money on my cars:

Mad max, Auto Art
Hirohata Mercury
1964 Ford Thunderbolt lettered up cars, and other vintage races like that.

The Mad Max one is a few hundred.

Let’s see what you got Steve
I'll take pics soon. I like building shit like my real cars. Also the only subject I ever truly liked in school was art. I look at building models as an extension of art. I have steady hands and can paint well and I like the details. It's real easy to have $100 or more in a kit to build with supplies.
Problem is projects always stall and I have hobby ADD and can't focus on everything I'm interested in all at once.

If you wanna throw up on kit prices look up model factory hiro. Killer stuff but insane prices lol.

I have a buddy who is into building tanks they look badass but it is very time consuming. Good thing they sell both one u can build and one that’s built.
