🔧 BUILD New Daily Driver inbound - 2023 Glacier Blue Metallic Colorado ZR2

General Information

Was time for a new daily......so I opted for the refreshed 2023 Colorado as it checked all the right boxes for me.

The order has been placed with Biggers Chevy in Elgin....the order has not been accepted as of yet by GM due to constraints.

ZR2 in Glacier Blue Metallic.

Immediate plans will be:
1. Tint the front glass
2. Pick out some type of tonneau cover
3. Check into the side assist step aftermarket
4. Install stubby antenna so I can get it in the garage
5. Install fancy exhaust tip

Will update as things move along....this is what I ordered.

This next GEN truck interior looks crazy nice. Like GM somehow skipped a model cycle bringing it out.

I’m interested to see how the motor works out for you. I had a Silverado with it and was honestly impressed by it over the old V6.
I was honestly stunned to see 310/390 power numbers out of the 2.7.

I'm definitely getting the GM reflash to 310/430 as soon as it's available.

Everything I've researched on the engine has been pretty incredible.

For the price it'd better be epic. Our Z71 back in early '20 was $35K. She looks good though, GM has actually got a pretty good game in this market IMO.
Just a quick thing on the price point.

This thing is literally loaded and then some....had I cut back on some stuff it would have been a few thousand less.

I splurged quite a bit.

Is this reflash through the dealer and warranty friendly?

Ever since watching the TFL truck vid on a basic Colorado I’m thinking maybe stop looking for a Ram Limited and grab one of these for house and tow track car things.

The flash is dealer performed and doesn't impact the warranty at all.

The only "catch" is you must order the turbo plus engine (which is stock on the higher trim levels).

It's definitely worth a look...it just fit perfectly for me and how I'm going to use it. Full size trucks and their even more eye popping price tags just didn't make sense.

I had a ram limited for a demo and they are bad ass. Such a nice, comfortable smooth ride. No way I’d buy a small pick up truck over a full size truck if money wasn’t an option.

They both serve a purpose.

Full size is always bad ass....but for some of us, mid size works better.

I have previously owned a Dodge Dakota, extended cab Silverado, Avalanche and a crew cab Silverado.

I also am realizing I have seriously bad automotive attention deficit disorder.
