I am still planning on one, just need to move my car and buy a place first. That is one hell of a fucking deal though, almost a little suspect it is that good.

The issue I am running into with my car is that the KBB value is like $52K and I am asking $65K. People are interested, but having a hard time coming up with financing.......Going to need a cash buyer. So we will see, it is either I potentially take less in order to move the car since the used car market is dropping and Hellcats seem to be plentiful or I wait it out to see if I get what I want for the car. With that being said I am excited about potentially having the car another season to enjoy though, especially after firing her up last night.

Thats about the going rate for guys parting out stolen cars or shit thats about to get repo'd.
Lot of them are word of mouth though

How do you feel about that type of situation? I would feel uneasy about bringing $10K cash to buy that like I am about to get robbed :ROFLMAO: Not particularly intrigued about getting into a gun fight over it. Meeting in a public place to pick up an engine is tough logistically.

I'd worry more about the engine being stolen then being robbed. But the entire Mopar crowd is shady AF.

That is a concern as well, not sure how likely law enforcement would make it back to you on something like that. It doesn't seem like they do much to recover stolen vehicles. I would be more worried on the purchase scenario.

Me personally, I'd make them come to my house and would have a few of my guys in the garage with me. They would be patted down as they came into my garage. No fucking way in hell am I going to meet them unless we are going to a shop. Even then I'm bringing a few guys with me.

Why, who gives a fuck if its stolen. Its not going to get traced back to you as the buyer.

Are there laser etched/casted numbers on the engines?

No clue and NFG
I'm more so worried you get in a wreck and body shop or insurance runs numbers and such or notices something off
I really highly doubt that would happen and can almost guarantee its not happening in a one off car that Greasy would be swapping it into.
Almost like saying if I wrecked my 71, is my insurance company going to want to know if my motor is stolen?

Like hey, this 2005 dodge magnum didn't have hellcat motor. Were not covering it?

That's why you get the correct insurance policy for your car with agreed upon value.

I doubt they are gonna ask where you got the motor?

Shawn1112 Shawn1112 do you have that o. The ACE. Did they ask any questions?

Where did you come up with $65K for the asking price? Mods, Covid markup, asking prices of other Hellcats?

I buy quite a bit off marketplace and Craigslist I’m always worried about getting robbed, always bring a gun, never been robbed, I’ve met some cool people buying and selling crap that I’ve stayed in touch with via Facebook, weather it’s stolen or not I want what they have and they want my money it’s a fair exchange

I was on the hunt on Facebook for a 2016-2019 F250/350 white tailgate for a friend up in Wisconsin. Junk yards wanted $1500 for them and most of the tailgates I found were 2019+ OR smashed up from being on a work truck. I found one in Elgin exactly the option combo he was looking for. $400 Looked nice. Messaged the guy and he was just weird. Wanted me to meet him at this random grocery store at night, couldn't tell me where the part came from, didn't have any other parts from the same truck, and wouldn't provide a vin from the part or the truck it came off of. I'm like if you can't tell me any of this I am going to assume this is stolen, and he deleted the post the next day. Google told me he had some police history so I said fuck it not dealing with this guy and stolen parts. I would guess it's not hard to remove a tailgate from an unlocked truck with an impact and a few min of time. It was a great deal tho.

If it is too good to be true it likely isn't, if it somehow is it is likely stolen, if it is likely stolen you are likely dealing with a shady person :ROFLMAO:

Technically anything can be stolen off of market place or Craigslist or offer up. There are so many flippers that the parts or items they are selling could have been flipped 3-4times but stolen. Does it make it better if the guy has lots of positive feedback and a super nice old man? It’s all about the hustle and everyone trying to make a buck but giving the buyer a fair deal.
