Mystery problem with S/C

I was with Birkboy today to get my LIM gasket taken care of. Good news it that the gasket has been already replaced. The oil is clean and there was not a vacuum leak found. The Supercharger is still "twittering" though. Performance is awful when boost is used. We tried everything we could think of

Fuel line pressure (50 psi+)
Remove tuned pcm and installed stock
plugged BBV valve
Check wires/hoses (the coolant overflow hose does need to be replaced)
Checked MAF
Scanned for misfire. Came up 0

After some scanning the car is running lean. Birkboy would be able to explain this better but for the most part the car is not getting enough fuel.

The problem is getting worse though. It used to hang a few seconds when using boost but now it just twitters and barely moved.

Im taking it to a local shop the the fam has been going to for a while tomorrow and let them look at it.

We are thinking that the car needs tuning to cure, but the fact that we put in the stock pcm with no improvement leaves us confused.

Any suggestions?

I've changed my fuel filter twice and both times i thought i was going to crack the stock fuel line, PB blaster helps a lot though. I'd Like to have SS lines but don't think i can justify the cost.

K Ill give pb blaster a shot. Yeah Im bending the steel lines and all the rust is popping off everywhere. It looks like the lines can take the pressure so hopefully I can get it off. Otherwise time to spend lots of $$$ for diagnostic/repair.

on most of those old thread on filters i usually put the red wrench to it and douse it with PB to shock the fitting, it usually comes right off after that, btw the OEM filter hex is usually 20mm, the 5/8ths can round off with a cheaper line wrench but vise grips work very well, just make sure you dont totally round it off as the VG's will have a harder time grabbin it.

for those of you who gasp at turning a flame towards the fuel lines, i've been doing it for over 10 years and never had a problem. only the fords tend to burst into flames:rofl:

if you must cut it go to napa and ask for a GM fuel filter line repair kit. it will come with the specially flared line ~ 1 to 1 1/2 ft long, new line nut and usually a compression fitting though i prefer to flare the old line/new lines and just get a 3/8ths flare union

for those reading this worried about their junk, just crawl under the car and slather a thick layer of chassis grease over the hex/fittings. it will slow down further rusting and slowly penetrate the rust thats already there.

Thanks for the info. Im going to pick up some PB and rock out with that. Hopefully some vice grips (I have some now) which I did not have before will do the trick. I was using a box wrench that did fit (at least I thought) and I did end up slight rounding the bolt. Still meat on there though.

ya know once you sprayed it down take the ficegrips and clamp it hard on all sixe sides (two sides at a time)
JUST clamp em hard, remove and move to two new sides of the hex (i am refering to the ferule nut on the line)
do this a couple times each while pb'n while clamped, and you should have broken the rust's hold on the hardline at this point, repeat for the hex attached to the filter, and go fer broke.

good luck

Well tried it again and no go. Im calling it quits because the fuel rails are bending and the bolt is not budging. Call me a noob but im not going to make the problem worse.

I have an appt. tmw with out local mechanic so I get to drop mad cash having it diagnosed/fixed.

If it is too much you can expect me on here tmw making a post saying something like "Holy shit I need a new xyz!" :D

EDIT:

It was one of the spark plugs. It cracked down the middle. Easy fix!
