Lease is a up in a few months on the Honda passport, hoping that leases come back down some and lease another suv or just purchase this time around.

We needa 7 passenger suv for all the guests / kids / sports we haul at times and the wifes main vehicle.

We are thinking a toyota highlander hybrid, wife and I are okay with this as we do drive a good amount locally and instate, nice to have the 7 passenger, cargo room when third row is up and down , hybrid power train, and the reliability.

Or

Going back to a Durango, something 2020 or newer, 6cyl or v8 wither would work for us as we are not towing. Like the 7 passenger option, and cargo space with third row up or down, drives like a car not a big suv which my wife likes. our last Durango was a lease as I didn’t trust mopar product, but it was only in for one warranty repair for cosmetics, and the other was a turn signal bulb I replaced, other then that it was pretty reliable.

I still can't decide what truck I like best because I hate all of my realistic options. I'm just saving my pennies for a bigger DP until I'm forced to make a decision.

Unless something radical changes before summer I'm probably putting new wheels, struts, and lowering springs on my Volvo. Then I'm not looking at new vehicles for a while.

I have a bad habit of my tastes outgrowing my budget, before I buy anything lol. I used to dream of a zl1, base is fine. Now I could buy one of those but don't want one. Now I want a heritage CFTP shelby.

I'm a bit concerned that when the time comes for the shelby i'll be like "how about i just keep this money in stocks and wait for 911 turbos to drop some more" lol. Delayed gratification doesn't bother me one bit, as i've said before I always play the long game
Porsche has also had record sales through all of this. Know what that means? There are more new 992 turbos on the road than any turbo in history of the brand. That’s good news for those of us waiting on the used market.

That’s a tough call I see leasing maybe coming back next year or end of this year.

So, in your experience and researching, which would be the better 15+ truck, the GMC with the 5.3 or 6.2, or the F-150 with the 5.0? Guess I could lump the RAM's with the 5.7's in there. I'm genuinely curious, because I might have to start looking to replace mine sooner than I'd like, and those are in the sweet spot of what I am looking at. Same configuration, quad cab with 6 1/2' bed (or longer).
Those LT based trucks seem alright but the afm also seems to be an issue and things are far more expensive parts wise and tuning. I’m sure it’s fine if the truck was taken care of.

The 5.0 still has phaser issues but they seem easy enough to live with or replace yourself (if no warranty). Also seems like the phasers don’t just fail but rather sound like trash and throw codes but more common than afm failure.

I think the ford wins for cab room by a land slide and the 5.0 sounds good. Both are hard has hell to find a 6.5’ bed though with a crew.

The STS-V will be used for either trade in (most likely) or cash downpayment from sale. I just need to fix some things and it's scheduled to go in the body shop in late March.

Replacement options;
1) Dodge Charger Hellcat
2) 2009 - 2014 Cadillac CTS-V - Problem here is many are starting to get high mileage and they're still fairly expensive (even autos)
3) 2015 - 2019 Cadillac CTS-V

Far Stretch;
- Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing - This would be a deal made with the devil (the Wife) though. Something along the line of future draft picks and more than the STS to go. Something like a promise I don't buy another car for the next 2 decades or something.. :D

C7 Z06 A8. Preferably an '18 or 19. Pre-covid prices were in the mid-50's. They went up as high as mid-80's. Right now they seem to be in high 60's to low 70's. If I can snag a 2LT or 3LT with 40k ish miles in the mid 50's I'll be all over it.

I also am intrigued to see what happens to '20-22 C8 Z51's. I think due to wait lists and long lead times on factory orders the prices will still say high. Once they're on dealer lots the prices will come down but I'm sure that's closer to 24-36 months.

Basic bitch C6Z, ain't care. Grand Sport was rowdy as fuck, gimmy dat 427.
Fwiw I've got a buddy with a nasty H/C/I Z and he said if he did it all over he would just slap a blower on a GS.

Saving for a house right now, so not looking to get a loan on anything except a house.

But, I've seen several cars I'd definitely consider jumping on.

Several times have seen C7Z's in the 50's with decent miles. I also found a Alfa Giulia Quadrofolio for $45k the other day with not bad miles.

I mean,2018 Giulia Q: $38k, for a 29k miles 505hp 4dr sedan is super tempting.

Honestly, at $38k, if I was not saving for a house I would basically sign & drive if the carfax came back clean. I'd love to have an Giulia Q. 505hp Ferrari TT V6, 8spd DCT. Uhmazing handling.

But with their reliability, I'd never want it for a daily.

But you also have something like this C7GS M7 Watkins Glen gray, CF package for $52k. And there are plenty of C7Z's for not much more than that.

Or this basic bitch black on black C7Z 1LZ with Z06 package for $64k.

I had a buddy that had a Q for a few years, with little issues - more interior quality issues, and not any mechanicals. But, I hear ya.

And yes, that C7GS is sharp.

There was a yellow C7Z07 for 76k at koons chevy tysons corner. Badass car with the cermaic brakes carbon seats carbon lip, skirts, and spoiler.

C7Zs should come back down to low/mid 60s easily by summer I bet there will be plenty.
Check 2 posts up. I can find them all day long in the mid-60's.

I so want a 2016 and up camaro zl1,
my buddy that owns Defier performance (champions of the hellScat) wants me to get a hell cat or a scatpack and modify it.
or a 2010 and up porsche panamera v8 turbo. 4 doors, 550hp stock and can be tuned up.
You can find first gen Turbo's pretty cheap. As far as reliability? The only real problems I've found in research is the air ride system. Not sure on parts cost/availability, but doesn't look like its that hard to repair.

I'm waiting for the 2nd gen (971) Panamera Turbo's to come down in price. I'd trade my RS in for a 2nd gen Panamera Turbo. Lose some of the knife edge handling of the RS, but gain a land speed rocket with 4 doors and a hatch.

Is that being driven by SUV’s in the lineup though? Total production output for cars is still constrained globally due to labor and materials shortages.
