starting FP1 now! Ferrari made some huge changes to their cars!

spoiler alert: its a tribute livery :ROFLMAO: THAT should help them out this weekend..... They actually look kinda cool, but having both drivers wear yellow helmets is a little confusing. But they did plaster the driver numbers in HUGE lettering on the cars

I watched both practices. The only thing that really stood out for me was the inclusion of Hulkenberg’s name when discussing the open HAAS seat.

Don’t know why they had Giovinazzi in the HAAS for FP1. So many other choices they could have gone with.

Karun is on commentary for both sessions, so be prepared to get shitfaced when playing the “honest/honestly“ drinking game.

That quali was a bit anticlimactic since half the grid is taking penalties again this weekend  There has to be another way. But saying that, the grid is quite mixed up for tomorrow

I mean we get leclerc, russell and norris right up at the front again. I'm loving that. Friggin DeVries promoted to 8th because of all the penalties!!

DeVries is looking pretty good out there despite just being thrown in the car, and he's generally looked quicker than Latifi so far. I have nothing against Latifi, in fact I like him more than Stroll, but if he wasn't a pay driver he wouldn't have a seat in this sport. So much better talent out there that deserves a spot

Just watched the qualifying (was out all day). Agree, kind of boring qualifying. I am surprised the top ten weren't closer in lap times, though a few had times deleted for exceeding track limits. The top three being less than 0.27 seconds apart over the course of 3.59 miles is mighty fucking impressive.

That being said, what in the everlovingfuck was Brundle rambling on about? It's like he couldn't think of anything decent to say so he'd just keep going on about shit.

"Your internal gyroscopes". LOL, what? You mean your vestibular? I know they have off days, but I think it's about time for Brundle to hand the microphone off to someone else.

Also, that chart comparing an F1 car a race car, and "your family car". Who comes up with that crap? Okay, we can pretty much quantify an F1 car. But what "family car" are they using as a reference? An Accord sedan? A minivan? They are really grasping at crap to throw up on the screen. Not to mention, the chart lengths were backwards. The F1 car should have had the shortest dots, indicating it finished first/quickest.

I know, none of that really applies to the qualifying itself, but it does take away from watching qualifying.

To wrap it up:
Please oh please Ferrari, don't let the fuckup fairy visit you tomorrow!

Oh, forgot to address the penalties and grid spots. What a bunch of horseshit. There has to be a better way that docking a car 20 fucking grid spots for penalties. Yeah, in this case you're going to have some front runners at the back of the grid to keep things interesting. But what if MV and CL were even on points and one has to start at the back. We, as the spectators, are being robbed of a good competition.

Instead of grid position penalties they should be fined a monetary value which goes against the cost cap. Or, you lose constructor's points. Now, for some teams that might not be too impactful if you're 100 points ahead of the next team. So make it a percentage of your total points instead.

Yeah, Horner said the same exact thing about points being docked instead of grid spots. He was like, well if a team is well and truly ahead in the standings they would just take engines with no real impact to them. But SOMETHING else needs to be implemented. Every team is hit with this every year, they're GOING to use extra engines no matter what. Just give them a couple more in the pool god damnit!!

I literally posted one of these from etsy just a few days ago. They're much cheaper there, even for the largest one. These are wood, not metal, but who cares. Tho I do see on that petrol vibes site you can get a custom one made of your own car.................... Interesting. Interesting indeed.
