You guys been to any distillery tours in Louisville?

Planning a bachelor party in October and thinking of booking one. Michter's and Evan Williams have reservations available. Another buddy recommended Rabbit Hole which tbh I've never heard of. Any others I should look in to?
Yes-Went last fall.

We did Angles Envy, Four Roses, Buffalo Trace, Castle and Key, Barton, Lux Row, and Willet.

We didn't tour all of them. Favorite Tour was Angles Envy. Definitely stop at Castle and Key. The facility is pretty amazing, especially the grounds adjacent to the distillery.

Old forester is really neat and in downtown, near evan williams and angels envy. I did a VIP tour deal with Peerless and i got to chat with master taster and sample a lot of single barrels in their speakeasy room. Really nice tour. Theyre also downtownish, west of evan williams.

Willett and Heaven hill are excellent tours and next door to each other in Bardstown. Heaven hill sells one rare bourbon a day, 1 per person until they run out. I was able to score Elijah Craig barrel proof and was 5 people too late to get old fitzgerald 15 yr. Tasting at heaven hill had both those bourbons for us to taste.

Lux row is really nice place and nice tour. Another one i just missed getting Blood oath. Book tours early morning so you can check gift shop for rare stuff.

Silver dollar in Butcher town neighborhood was recommended by a local for sampling bourbons at a good price. Great selection, but i think there were better food options in the area. A lot of bourbon bars are a ripoff FYI. Places charging 85 bucks an ounce for Stagg Jr.

Best advice is book tours as far in advance as possible. Because if you visit that day, theyll prob be booked. I made that mistake at Buffalo Trace.

Thanks guys, all great information!

Trying to pick one or two and book now because we’ve heard from several people reservations go quick. Also nice to know about the special sales, we’ll try and schedule them early in the day as I’d love to pick up a bottle of something interesting.
