I thew on a set right before a trip around Lake Superior. Man was I glad I did that. Even with having floorboards you need to be able to have some flexibility in leg/seating position. And with it being nice and warm out it lets the wind go right up the pant leg and keep the boys cool.
I have a custom Diamond seat from about 20 years ago that has a bit of the seat scooped out for the tailbone, otherwise it's really similar to the stock seat. I am actually using the stock seat right now since a few longer trips have gotten us into rain, and the seat covering is fabric. For being 23 years old the stock seat has held up remarkably well. It's taken me quite a while to decide what seat I wanted. I went back and forth for a year now on whether I wanted a solo seat or not. Then I needed to figure out if I could get away with an extended reach seat or not, as I'm 5'9".
Finally pulled the trigger on the Saddlemen Dominator extended reach solo seat. Wanted to ride it a bit first with the new seat to see where my seating position would be, and to see if the highway pegs would even work for me.
The extended seat gave me just enough room to where I can move around a bit, but still easily reach the foot controls, so I got the highway pegs. Can't wait to try them out.
Seriously considering one of these as a daily commuter bike

I wouldn't mind a bit more power for my next bike, but that's how everyone feels regardless of what one rides.View attachment 123634
As a naked bike, it's tiring after awhile at highway speeds over 70. Easy to ride up to 75ish without an issue for me. Don't expect a lot of passing power above 70, but I've had mine up to 105mph. Single cylinder, 373cc with about 43hp, but only weighs 330 lbs. If I'm doing 70 to 80 mph, it'll only get about 50 mpg. Lower speeds I can get 70 mpg.Can it handle highway speeds or is it best for local roads?
701 Svartpilen and Vitpilen ended in 2020 or 2021 I believe. Basically the KTM Duke 690.Do they still make the 701 in that bike? The 700 would do 120mph before it hit the revlimiter on my enduro
Nice I think they look bad ass I would just want one with a bit more power like the super duke motor on one of those would be awesome lol701 Svartpilen and Vitpilen ended in 2020 or 2021 I believe. Basically the KTM Duke 690.
Next up are a 501 twin cylinder to replace the 401, and possibly a 901.

Let me know how you like them. I'm deciding between these and some engine guard ones.Gonna take a while to get used to having my feet out there

I have the Ciro 3d floorboard mounted highway pegs as well. Expensive but 100% worth the money.Let me know how you like them. I'm deciding between these and some engine guard ones.
180hp super duke engine on the 701 chassis would be rowdy. Sign me up
