Will that mold remover spray kill any plants? Because I need to do the north side of my house too, but I don’t want to kill the hostas on the bottom
I don't think anything kills hostas at this point. They're resilient as hell.

Complaints: It sucks having your entire first floor in some sort of disrepair. I'm also a dumbass and agreed to start all this in February knowing it would likely last through the summer. It's too damn nice out to be doing inside projects.

I will now have PTSD from all the splinters that the destroyed luan put in my hands.

New dishwasher and microwave on the way. A drunk friend fell on our dishwasher when the door was open and broke it. The microwave/range is just ancient, ugly, and disgusting. Quartz counter tops, canned lighting, and a back splash will come whenever I finish the floor in the laundry room and living area.

By the way, I hate touching my washer. That drain hose is the worst design ever. It's like GE wanted this thing to leak all over the floor and grow mold from the start.

Brags: It's been pretty damn cheap so far. Cabinets were just painted with door pulls added. My wife and FIL did all the wall painting. I've done all the flooring and fixtures. We don't plan to stay here for more than another few years. I think this will bump up the home value a little though.

What did you use to cut the flooring? I did my mud room with LVP and just used a utility knife and it sucked ass. Ended up getting bit by uncle Stanley too (cut myself bad). I’m supposed to do the basement whenever we get around to finishing it but am probably going to buy one of those Guillotine style cutters.

I've refused to buy the vinyl floor cutter because I hate buying big tools that I won't use regularly. My miter saw is perfect for 75% of the cuts. The jigsaw takes care of the rest. The cuts don't need to be perfect because your margin for error is only a bit smaller than the thickness of your baseboard and quarter round. I've done it this way for three different flooring projects.

The downside is that the dust makes a mess.

Hostas are the cockroach of flowers. Fuckers will reproduce endlessly and come back from the grave a dozen times

Next project… remove the worlds worst set of loft stairs. They are steep as fuck, and have multiple areas that have less than 4’ of headroom. Taking them down and replacing with a loft ladder instead.

Same room today. Lots of patching, painting, up and down a Fucking ladder to the loft 8million times. lol. Still have to modify, sand, and paint the built in shelf and trim around the door. Probably paint the closet doors too, add a railing and ladder for the loft but looks good this far.

My Dad and I do the same, miter saw and jigsaw.

I do it all with a circular saw and jigsaw. only time I used a razorblade and cut by hand was when the wife fell in love with this vinyl flooring that has a stick together seam. never doing that again.

Finished up landscape lighting along the back of the yard.... Came out pretty nice for some Home Depot special low voltage lights....

Theyre not as bright as the pictures make them look, but light up the back of the yard nicely.

need to do this.

need to do this.

I used their WAGO lever connectors with silicone on this project and they were phenomenal....

As the Home Depot lights start going out I'll likely switch to the Volt ones, they were just so much money for the start of the project. Easily double the cost of the kits I used:

Well.. wife came home with this from the habit for humanity store. $75. From what it looks like it’s an old kitchen cabinet from the 30’s with an enamel top from the 50’s.

too it all apart and sanded it.. Wife says she will paint it. I have my doubts.

one more edit.. I've never seen drawer pulls like this. they are solid cut glass.

Okay well as expected the wife did almost nothing on this. So yesterday I finished sanding it, primed it, and painted it. Today I cleaned up the hardware lightly and left some character as the wife wanted.

Left is before, right is after.

And assembled it. Thing is beefy and solid. Really good shape for something made in the 30’s.
