Their 2.4 motors also had issues with premature bearing wear. They've certainly had their share of issues here and there with growing pains. Owners should keep good records of required service intervals to ensure the 10 yr 100k powertrain warranty gets honored if issues arise so it isn't brushed off as neglected maintenance. I'll probably have this car at most 3 years 75k miles and get the itch for something else. Maybe sooner if it becomes a problem car, but the first 5300 miles have been solid.Think of it as you get a free engine at some point with your 10-year warranty. That makes the vehicle an even better deal!
I think they had issues in 2014-17or18 2.0 engine having piston rings that were not heat treated properly. I also think there was another one for rod bearings. When you offer a 10-year warranty, I am sure you end up replacing a few here and there.
