If you can predict the future, good for you. Send me some info on who is going to win the SB.

Even Stevie Wonder can see Fields is a back up QB at best.

But, but in year one rookie QBsā€¦. Come on man.

And now you want to bring in Flores who is going to take a wrecking ball to everything, everyone, not to mention create a revolving door coaching / coordinators staff.

That will go well for developing Fields.

So, you have the dysfunctional ownership and adopted money maker son. All who know little about football, but are still at the helm of football operations.

Limited talent on the team that needs to start over again.

New wrecking ball head coach, with a revolving door coaching staff / coordinators.

And the last hire, a GM who has to deal with this steamy pile of shit, somehow making it work.

Yep, sounds like a winning combo

Sports Outlets are going to have a field day with this

Polian is almost 80. How about guys like Kruetz/Thayer or at least people who aren't Biden's age?

Bears owners are so out of touch with football that Bill Polian seems like a genius to them. He does have a great record but most of it was a long time ago.

That's what I'm saying. Look at Josh Allen's first year. 50% completion rate. 10 TDs, 12 INTs. He is now one of the top QBs in the league. You CANNOT judge a QB by first year stats. College is way different than the pros. It takes at least a year of playing for QBs to learn the new systems. Maybe longer. Watch the Polian video I posted where he says the same thing. This is a guy who is a 6 time GM of the year talking.

Says it all. I will say Polian is far more knowledgeable than anyone else on the selection committee. These guys are full of crap as far as trying to make Polian accountable. Take what he knows and hope he makes good moves. If you don't use Polian, who do you rely on? McCaskey? Phillips? Soup? Wade? Win or lose, Polian is the guy. Shawn will like these guys.

You mention Polian is almost 80 and they should bring in some young blood to do what he is doing which I agreed on. Then mention his track record and you state it was years ago. Now your praising him and telling us to watch his video. What am I missing here?
I for one am not listening to a fucking guy that is 80yrs old. I want younger guys in there, someone who is still in tune with todays game and how todays game is played. What has he done other than lose 4 SB's with the Bills, draft Peyton Manning and then only win 1 SB with him.

George McCaskey said he doesnā€™t want input from Ex-Bears players as they work in media, conflict of interest (granted not all ex-players work in media).

Yet, Bill Polian is / was an ESPN analyst

I mean, McCaskey just cannot get out of his own way.

Da Coach looks great with his beard now. :D

Problem is no matter who we bring in, we're a train wreck. Experienced guys... Fail! Offense minded guru's... Fail!

It's our lot in life.
I know, I was just busting balls.
Its 100% on the organization, and them being childish by not hiring Kruetz or Thayer tells it all. Those 2 fuckers bleed Orange and Blue and when you hear them talk about the Bears. It usually makes all the sense in the world. They dont beat around the bush, they say what needs to be said.
Perfect example is when Jenkins was hurt and working his way back. Kruetz and Thayer both agreed on, what did Jenkins squat prior to his injury and what is he squatting now. Both agreed that would be a big sign on where he was at, although Kruetz went a step further and said ask if anyone in the front office has that info lol.

McCaskeyā€™s press conference solidified the problem with the Bears organization lies with ownership.

The press conference solidified for everyone that nothing is going to change until ownership changes.

1985 and 2006 were lightening that struck in the same spot twice. The odds of it happening again under this ownership is even less likely.

Hey, but the McCaskeys and Phillips grew it into a multi-billion dollar organization so if that was their goal, then the Bears are a success.

Unfortunately, only a handful of us on TCG realize this and understand this. The Bears could hire Donald Duck as the GM and Goofy as the HC.
I can guarantee you Flynn and maybe one or 2 others would put a positive spin on it. Fields can turn out to be the real deal, and the Bears could still suck. Maybe back there way into the playoffs a couple of years like they did last year. MFers will jump on the wagon and start screaming SB here we come. Flyn would 100% say I told you so, even though they still suck he would 100% do that. Change in ownership will not happen until we as fans hit them in the pocketbook. Stop going to games, stop buying their merch. Sure you are contributing by watching them on TV, but thats peanuts compared to what they make with a sold out shit hole of a stadium. Again guys, 3rd largest market in the Country and we cant even get a team that earns their way into the playoffs on a yearly basis. Thats fucking bullshit and totally unacceptable!!

Indy DC, Matt Eberflus is an interesting candidate. He's on the D side but he has brought an accountability mindset to Indy. That has been lacking for a while in Chicago. Take plays off, even if you are a superstar, and Eberflus will bench you.

You guys can see I'm leaning towards more of a hard ass type coach rather than the "I'm your buddy" types.

Whatā€™s amazing is how little of value the organization places on the fans (customers), media and ex-players.

Another example of the 1%ers showing their arrogance and how disconnected they are from society.

Until I see the new coach and GM suck, I'm hoping they will be Ditka, Lovie and Jerry Vainisi level. Being pessimistic just isn't any fun. Fingers crossed that Polian hits on a couple more picks. 5 SB teams in 32 years. 9 playoff appearances in a row for Indy. Bears fans would settle for those numbers.
